New Zealand summer of cricket

Caught a decent portion of the series (couple of hours of each match) and whilst their bowling is at quite a good competitive level away from home, the fielding was utterly abysmal. Batting is still very hot and cold too. They're on the right path but geez it's frustrating sometimes.

I only managed to catch the chase in game 3, and the amount of balls going through legs was astounding

And then gets out for a 3-ball duck the next game :p

10 sixes, too!

Feels like ages since he's put up a big score.

Yeah, injury has ruined the past 2 years for him. Still rarely bowls again yet

Just tuned in to the test, Bangas 2/104, anyone know why they're only using a camera from one end?

Edit: just saw that the wind had knocked over a camera.

As good a bowler as Southee is, he does bowl a lot of rubbish.

Gone backwards since about 13'/14' when he was talked about in the same circles as Steyn and Johnson

Bangers going alright on a greenish pitch.

Really hope we can play them in a top end home tour this winter. Really think it should become a regular thing with Zimbabwe and potentially the Windies. Gives us a chance to experiment and blood talent before the main tours.

We're touring Bangladesh this year aren't we?

Brilliant session for Bangladesh there. I'm unsure how their bowling line-up will go in these conditions but they are really starting to build a test standard top 7.

Yes, and hosting them.

Really hope Bangladesh can make a game out of this.

Bowling might not be too effective (Taskin Ahmed's only playing his first Test, Mustafizur only comes back in the following one) but if they put up a 400+ score a draw seems like a strong bet.

Shakib al Hasan. What a player this guy is. Just completed his ton, giving him career figures of:

3030 runs @ 40.40.

Plus he has 159 w @ 32.18.

It would be nice to actually see him play in Oz.
