I know this may be a weird thing to say but Ross Taylor in subcontinent conditions is a bad miss for the kiwis. This team ems to be a bit thin from 7 onwards in terms of batting.
? Ravindra and Blundell (whichever order) are a great 6/7 and Jamieson is averaging over 40 atm. Meanwhile Southee is a handy no 9 (better average than Cummins).

In comparison India have a worse 6-8 (Jadeja, Saha with no Pant, and Ashwin).

That post was made on Saturday in relation to the T20 side.

Southee gets the big wicket of Pujara, a good session so far for NZ.

Is big Kyle the best bowler in the world atm? Averages 12 vs the no2 team in the world
He'd have to be up there, he has a great strike rate in test cricket so far.

Jamieson bowls Rahane after having a wicket overturned the previous ball.

Anyone saying we should have picked Wagner ahead of him now?

We probably should have picked Wagner ahead of Somerville though, he's looked the least threatening of the 3 spinners.
Absolutely hates bowling outside off. He is getting as close as he can to the middle of the pitch at release and then bowling a yuck leg stump line.

We've taken the new ball, hopefully this results in a wicket or two.

We badly need to break this partnership before stumps or this innings could get away from us.

New Zealand is being told to take their pace bowlers off or they will go off for bad light. Has ended up being a pretty bad day for them.

Edit: They're off now

Off for bad light and that will be stumps.

No point wasting the new ball with the spinners, better to save it for the seamers tomorrow.

That partnership between Iyer and Jadeja has tilted the match in India's favour, we will need early wickets tomorrow.
