Von Berg and de Swardt putting together a good partnership and getting SA past 200.

I doubt it, if they were good enough to get a gig in the SA20 they wouldn't be playing in this test series.
Bedingham for one would have been ok int he SA20. But he wanted to be playing in the test. I missed the 1st test .

Mark Richardson mentioned start of Day 2, Test 2 that humidity is 92%.

Conway & Latham would be striking fear into the Aussie attack atm.

I think Kane & Ravindra are going to have to do a lot of heavy lifting with Daryl Mitchell if fit in this upcoming series

Another first session going NZ's way, wrapping up SA's innings quickly for just another 22 runs and only losing the one wicket before lunch.

O'Rourke having a good test debut so far with 4 wickets.

Conway's form is a worry and Latham's record against Australia isn't all that great so we will need Williamson and our middle order to fire.

SA lost the session by virtue of the quick denouement to their innings but they’re edging the start to NZ’s so far if they manage to pick up another one after lunch.

Latham gone so there is a chance now for another big partnership between Williamson and Ravindra.

Shaun Von Berg looks like the sort of player fourth grade sides pull out of the pub on Saturday morning to fill in for a late out

He looks like he enjoys a beer and a braai.

Latham is s**t against anyone not Bangladesh, Sri Lanka or Zimbabwe.

His record is atrocious against the Big 3 & South Africa he averages something like 12.

He must be good team man and strong leader behind the scenes. He has never looked up to it against the big boys.

You're forgetting we need to have at least 3 wicketkeepers in the team at all times, Latham crucial to that.

Current test team - Conway, Philips, Latham, and Blundel all kept at international.

But yes, you are right.

Sri Lanka are the same...They always seem to have 3-4 wicketkeepers in their playing XI.

Morecki getting Ravindra chopping on to keep SA in the contest.

It's not that unusual that batsmen average more against the weaker test teams and less against the stronger test teams.

There would be plenty of Australian test batsmen with similar records.

NZ spluttering here. Could do with Will Young getting a few.
