Very impressed with De Lange

150k plus off 7-8 paces..Plus he swung it.

Bracewell did bowl garbage..He did well in wgtn, but been hammered twice in Hamilton.
Who'd be a bowler though. Small boundaries , bowling to a brick toilet with arms on an easy pace track !

massive choke - NZ 4/156 having trouble making 10 off the last 2 overs.

NZ end up needing 6 from the last ball of the innings, de lange then bowls a front-foot no-ball. dot ball for the free hit when NZ need 4. almost 2 chokes in one game.

lol, can't believe NZ lost that. SA did their best to upstage their choke with the last over no ball though..

Shocking choke, not good for NZ cricket's confidence. They seemed to be really finding some form as a side as of late.

People saying Ryder's lagging confidence cost them a big chance of winning (not on here, just reading some comments around other places)...ffs, the bloke hit 52 off 42, not sure you can ask for too much more.

Nicol looks a good prospect, but disappointing night overall.

13 from 17 with six wickets in the shed and lose! Pretty ordinary. On guptill I have watched him lately and I am actually going to say he is growing on me. Been batting really well.

guy is a beast of a bloke. he looks like they just pulled him straight out of the spring box academy.

bowled so well in that test match against sri lanka. 7/80-odd.

i reckon he has got a very very big future, injuries permitting.

i don't know how he'll go in 20 over cricket though. he's the sort of bowler you can use his pace very well because he usually bowls decent enough lines so the batsmen has a fair idea where it is going.

Anyone else think the NZ commentary team is biased?
I reckon they're fairly good. They were praising SA heaps in game 2.Yes towards the end last night they might've sounded a bit biased but I think it was more that they were stunned at how NZ looked like they were going to lose considering how they were going about 15 overs into their inninngs.

The NZ commentators may be biased, but at least they don't make watching T20 absolutely unbearable like Channel 9 do. Really, he only ones you can't call out-and-out biased are probably the West Indies guys, and even Cozier always cracks the shits when they lose.

Smith, Riggor and sometimes Bond are pretty decent commentators. My family absolutely hates Simon Doull, which helps me like his stuff.

Duminy and de Villiers starting to look very comfortable in this partnership, NZ desperately need a wicket.

AB just casually knocks up another ton with his side struggling at 3/35. Superb cricketer :thumbsu:. Dunno why McCullum chose to bat first though...

AB is a terrific player; probably top 3 in the world in ODIs.

Still with South Africa it is all about how they perform in knockout games. Often the big names do not do much although in the World Cup AB was run out so it may not have been his fault.

a lot of saf fan are calling for albie morkel's head. But if ab is really into experimenting, he can promote albie to open with smith so unleash his power hitting in the first 15 overs and just drop everyone down 1 slot with du plessis at 7. du plessis has shown he is a much better closing stage player than albie. Albie atm is stunted at no.7 cos saf is good side and rarely had to bat to no.7 early in the inning so morkel is pressured into hard hitting with few balls and he is not a natural finisher anyway, his space at no.7 is wasted. Duminy is a much better end player and his ability is much more suited to the end stages. When we have morkel opening it basically gives him a free rein to have a splash and if fail (likely) then the entire batting like up can start again with Smith Amla then kallis, ab, jp. So no harm done. Albie can also bowl.

Bowled out for 230, NZ probably about 100 runs short with that total.

Bloody hopeless....

Lost 8-67 on an absolute belter. Morne has made excellent use of the bounce on offer. Needed 275 at very least to put some pressure on. Hopefully Mills can get some bounce with the new ball (and not bowl at the death!!! Not that there should be a 'death') for us to have any chance.
