Saffas now two wickets down.

Handy little session so far for NZ, another wicket or two before stumps and they will be right back in it.

Got a brilliant bowling attack. It would be the best in the world. Very hard to stop once they smell blood. You take Morkel off and Steyn comes on, he finishes & Phillander come on. Just relentless pressure
I can see how they got Aussie out for 44

Phillander reminds me heaps of Hadlee, not super quick but quick enough. and moves it either way off a great length

Good fightback from NZ, Gillespie having a great match so far.

If they can break the de Villiers/Boucher partnership quickly after lunch they might even get a first innings lead.

Its not like the track is going sideways either.Theres a touch of swing. But looks pretty user friendly for the batsmen

Gillespie a lot quicker than i thought too.Getting up to mid 140's. He's been injured the last few years so havent seem him bowl in ages

Amazing how there was just enough swing for the quicks in the first session. Hardly prestigious, but just that fraction that takes or shaves the edge. Fairly late movement too. What a bonus to get Kallis down the leg-side, huge wicket.

Just need to break his partnership and knock over the last few for 20-odd. But just like Dunedin, there's no way South Africa will fold cheaply twice on a flat deck. NZ can't afford another sub-300 score.

Never get tired of seeing dismissals where the batsman lets the ball go and their off stump gets knocked over

Bracewell picks up Philander. Scores level with two wickets in hand. Should wrap them up quickly too, so ABDV might tee-off here. Always entertaining when he does.

Nothing better than low-scoring Test cricket.

Saffers bring up the 250 with some healthy whacking. Not many shots have been along the ground, but it's runs in the book.

9/250

SA tail are really wagging here, they have a pretty significant lead now when it looked like they wouldn't have much of a lead at all.
