Another win to the Newbies.
Couldn't have had a better lead-up to the big match that this.
The midfield was very good with efl, tiger glory, errol and tim leading from the front.
Our Full Forward wasn't great again. That's 3 goals 8 now isn't it?

After quarter 1 it looked like we were going to be blown out of the water. But it was all the Newbies after that. To come back from 40 points down after a minute through the second quarter to win is a huge effort.
That said we can't afford to have that start against the Legends.

Alright, I think that should be it for the practice matches. I would like all of your opinion's though. Who out of larrikin and one eyedtiger should play in our best 20? larrikin is a mod and only posted once, but one eyed has posted 3 times, which is equal with cormick and Errol, both of whom are in our starting 18! If we were to do it by posts then OET would be starting on the ground.

All the miracle goals and straight kicking (3.0) result in me being played in defence, defies logic oh wise 1 captain!! You got 2.5 and you're the one we're relying on to kick em all. I better start that goalkicking session with you sooner rather than later

Now now, selection is based on posting not neccesarily game performances (The games are randomly simulated if you hadn't noticed that yet) And I gave the Vice captains preference spots too. The midfielders in TigerGlory, tim_saints and Zainta have all been massive contributers. Plus I am sure you will still rack up the ball on the back flank.
But I do need that goal-kicking session.

And sorry to name Shallow twice.

Well I noticed on the legends thread Boncer asked who wants to start a match thread. Meaning maybe in the next week.

I also use this opportunity to thank Zainta and tim_saints who have been excellent and taken their roles in their stride. I ask them to keep a massive eye out because there are still 2-3 spots that could change. The side is looking like it is almost there, but with a couple of holes to fill (Like naming Shallow twice) and one eyedtiger probably deserves a spot, but we shall see. So I must say I am relyiong heavily on the opinions of these two in finalising those couple of spots.

And it looks like the eligibility of Peterss has come under pressure again which is dissapointing from our point of view. I mean lets face it, the legends have shown no interest in playing him...And why would a legend come and nominate for the newbies? Fact is, he is somewhere in between, so in nominating for the newbies he has made his intentions clear. He was a massive recruit for us, it would be a big shame to lose that sort of quality when the legends aren't even going to play him.
