Newcastle pretty stiff so far

Haven't watched all of it but so far Juventus have scored from a dodgy free kick at the edge of the penalty area and Newcastle have had a goal disallowed that should have been paid.

They're in the big league now - it's very hard for them to get over clubs like Juve.

We still haven't scored, let alone got a point. We're doomed. Might even be a tough ask to qualify for the UEFA Cup now.

I think it's time for Newcastle to focus on getting into the top 4 of the Premier League as any hopes of qualifying for the next stage of the Champions League are all but gone after today's result.

I'm pretty sure they do as well, as Barcelona were in the UEFA Cup in 2001 when we won it and they would have come via the Champions League.

Only the third placed clubs after the group stage though.

Yeah that's what I meant. Though hopefully we can just out-do Dinamo Kiev. However I don't know how they fared last night.
