Top of the table in 2006 after last in 2005.

Andrew Johns return a bit like the impact Nathan Buckley's return will have on Collingwood in 2006?

wooden spooners in 2005, but certainly not the worst team in the competition heading into the finals. they would have been prelim finalists for sure last year had they taken part in september. they're just improving on that end-of-season form.

Andrew Johns is a super freak. Insert him in any team - even the broncos;) - and they'd be a threat.

Hell, put a reserve grade team in with Johns in it and they'd still be a force. He's unnaturally amazingly talented.

It's an amazing start to the year for them (and their killing my tips), but I doubt at the end of the year they'd still be in the top 4.

I don't know how Queensland are going to fit all these full backs into their squad this year - Bowen, Wesser, Slater, Hunt and now Thiaday..

They won't.

Hunt will most likely make himself a Kiwi player come April, Wesser won't play for Qld again and Thaiday won't even make the Qld squad.

Bowen at fullback and Slater on the wing back in the Qld team now Sing has retired from rep. footy.

Ah, no. Most reserve grade forwards struggle to hold onto the ball. If you don't have the ball it doesn't matter how good your half back is.

He's from Lismore - was on the fringes of the Waratahs before being dumped for alcohol abuse when Newcastle signed him up.
Partly wrong. He was from North Queensland originally and made his A grade debut up there. Then went to Darwin where he hit the drink and played some bush footy. Came down to NSW and played club Rugby getting a training contract with the Waratahs which eventually turned into a full one.

so eligible for Qld?

cheers - i thought he was a candidate for the blues.
There was a big article on him in the Courier Mail last week. Also, Sing is still available for QLD. I think he and an injury free Tate will occupy the wings come Origin time. Billy the kid may have to bide his time.
