Are we punishing the outcome this week, the potential or the intention?

Someone keep me posted.

Berry had an arm free but that doesn’t help when you are being suplexed.

Hawks play Pies next round so Michael Christian will make sure it’s at least a week.

Yep. Christian will give him two so that the appeal only brings it down to one.

He will make sure Newcombe does not play the pies.

Yes, hopefully Chrisso looks at the fixture, and makes sure Newcombe is not available for next week’s match against the Pies. That’s the least he should do. No point having ex players in positions of power if they’re not going to work to favour their former team.

Only got to think back to Allan Aylett, Ron Evans, Ross Oakley, Demetriou and Steve Hocking.

Ridiculous it’ll be less than a chase down tackle with a player contributing to falling forward, simply because of the way different necks & heads respond to impact.

I would have thought this is a textbook tackle the AFL is trying to get rid of.

No injury as far as I’m aware so may still be just a fine.

Play this and the Curtis tackle side by side to somebody who does not know the outcome and then tell them that Curtis got three weeks and Newcombe got nothing.

The system is utterly broken.
And Newcombe is up on their 5th rough conduct charge. System is cooked.

Must be April 1st.

Hawthorn the most protected club in the afl.

Piss off we lost Sicily for three weeks to a tackle he got rewarded a free kick for.

I thought he'd get a week but I guess they're judging outcome this week.

Looks like the neck breaker tackles are back on the menu boys. And here we were thinking the game has gone soft.

If you can’t attempt tackles that could paralyse a player what’s the point
