Watched todays game on TV and he looked out of soughts. I didn;t catch who he was playing on so he may well of played an mportant role.... BUT he needs to improve on that performance IMO.... looks way out of touch and turned the ball over on numerous occasions..... If Dea and Batch continue to improve I really cant see a spot for him.

He might need a weeks rest to freshen up. His leadership obviously adds value to his position in the side but on todays performance he was a liability.

Umm like who'd come in for him?.....bare in mind whie will be out
I do think he needs a "rest" .... but you are right we are not exactly in a position to rest players with the outs we have.

Sick of this being said about Newman, in every freaking game I see Newman stem flow atleast once or twice at critical times, he knows what he is doing leave him the hell alone.

Was at the game today and thought Newman played a fairly servicable game. When Batchelor and Tuck kicked out after a behind in the last Q, I was wondering why it wasn't Newy! Please, never let Tuck kick out again!

One of our most important players, and absolutely vital to our defence in terms of structure and leadership. Take him and Rance out and our backline would crumble like an under 12s side.

he is getting tagged. Foley and Martin out means he cops it.
He is not getting much space to work in.
Take Newman out and Houli will cop the tag
foley and amrtin dont get tagged, cotch and lids do. there is a difference with a run with role as they tend not to be so tight. i cant remember who was on him v melb but mckensie is their tagger and frankly anyone else aint much chop. if newy doesnt then run enough to break the this supposed tag then he is not working hard enough which is what i said.
