Danny Meyer

Not dealing with the Hawks on Danny Meyer. Any other club, yes, but not them. I really expect us to have egg on our faces when we finally see Meyer go, l'd neck myself if it was Hawthorn throwing them.

Brent Hartigan

Happy to see him go to whereever. Similar situation to Rodan, reckon if he can find fitness and a regular game, then it would be a win-win... particularly if this time we get something in return.

Jay Schulz

No deal. Would rather a current-day Derek Kickett after a local footy pie night, than have a soft unaccountable squib in Jordon McMahon. He's a pissant. Schulz for Damon White, maybe.

Tim Boyle swap for myer may be worth considering. I just cant help but feel we would be throwing away a real tallent. I know he hasnt done it consistantly enough, but myers cameos in the afl have been awesome. I think he should be given one more year unless a really good deal arises.

Not sure I'm exactly happy about McMahon for Schulz, and I don't even rate Schulz.

I see Boyle as pretty much the same as Schulz, so if we gave them Meyer for Boyle, it all equals up to a nothing trade IMO.

We lose schulz and gain mcmahon? im sorry, but that doesnt work for me...how many more HBF's do we need? Would prefer White as well...
LMAO....here is a tip, more than we have now..which equates to 1 or 2 tops, that know what to do with the ****ing pill when they get it. FFS, you really dont watch the footy do you? how many times do the tigers run it out of the HB line and **** it up, with the wrong option? Have you ever wondered why?
McMahon is light years ahead of what we have there at the moment in smarts.
Schulz for MacMahon? and we have nuff nuffs here suggesting no? FFS wake up dudes. Schulz isnt a gunna, he is an aint gunna. ;)

c'mon, meyer has shown nothing in terms of making a senior player, Boyle has at elast played some fair footy at the level...Great move if it could be done

Mcmahon is a good player that would blend in well with what we have in the back half...In todays run and carry brand of footy, every backman cannot be Francis Bourke....Sarge has floundered, must move on....Mcmahon could be for us what sinclair has done for the roos

I wonder how much of this is actually designed to put a rocket up these blokes rather than be genuine trade options. Seems to be the vogue at present with quite a few clubs and not a bad idea either. Lets em knwo in no uncertain terms where they stand.

Just thinking about the Schulz situation.
Does any-one else here think that if JAy were to leave our club it owuld be very benefical for our KPP like Riewoldt and Hughes?

More game time plus either of them dont really get in Richo's way because they dont lead from square like Jay does.

Look i like Jay i rekon he's a great player but if it were to comedown to Jay or Reiwoldt & Hughes i'd help push Jay out the door.

Those two are our future CHF & FF and while jay is only young i dont think he will get any better than what he is now.

Schulz has had enough rockets to keep NASA happy for 50 years, but is still yet to 'take-off';)

That probably worked with Kelly and S.Johnson at Geelong. Those players would have probably been taken aback that no club would trade for them, despite Geelong putting them out in the market place. They had little choice but to shape up or ship out. Mind you, Steve did then go on his Christmas incident, and it was only after his club suspension did he come back reinvigorated.

Mind you, this might only work with players who have genuine talent to work with, you cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Maybe Meyer if he isn't traded, but is given a reprieve at Tigerland for next season, he will put in all that is necessary to make it at AFL level, otherwise his career will be finished before it starts.
