We're not going to grind the season to a halt to make a point though. You pick your battles. Just as Sydney have.

Sydney have a pretty good record playing in Geelong. Won 4 of the last 8 there apparently which is a rather good record against Geelong, a record no other team has come close to matching. I think if true and Sydney did pick the venue we picked it because we play pretty well there.

The game should be at the SCG but covid ****ed that so it’s perfectly reasonable for Sydney to choose the alternate venue.

If they came to WA they’d have to quarantine like the bulldogs did which would place an unnecessary further burden on the players and staff.

So pick the ground that advantages them most. Completely justifiable

That said I hope Simmo makes it abundantly clear to the playing group that Sydney think we can’t win at alphabet stadium so we need to prove otherwise

Marvel and MCG chocked with games. We play well at Adelaide and bad at MDMA stadium. Force us to fly further than SA. I would hope we'd pull the same petty sh*t if we had the chance.

It's a bit of a gruelling return journey, but like others am of the belief that it's business time now, back half of the season and all..we should be invested in that mindset 'anywhere, anytime, anyhow', especially with our best 22 on the park.

Can see us winning all 4, especially if Shuey comes back next game and has an immediate impact (and can keep fit). Adding him or Kelly to the midfield with Yeo fit and firing changes the complexion of the team completely. Wouldn't be surprised if we dropped the Dogs or Sydney games.

Sydney may have just shot themselves in the foot. Okay they've won 3 out of their last 4 at Kardinia but that was based on a different playing style to what they are now. They may have been better off playing at Marvel and trying to outrun us.

I also agree that Simpson should be hammering the thought that Sydney don't think we can beat them in Geelong and that the Swans have made this choice because they fear playing us at the G/marvel.

For West coast this is a chance to be able to break another Hoodoo. They probably need to be aware that they will not have as much space to work with compared to Optus Stadium. So i would like to know what Adam Simpson will tell his players

Three I can believe but not 4. Perth should be clear by then.

Even if it is true, the two games we play away instead of home are North and Saints. That's actually pretty fortunate, considering neither are going that well.

Forget top 4. Forget home finals. We'll probably scrape into 7th or 8th. The thing that will save us is Freo and Bombers doing their best to lose games and not step up to the 8.

The second derby will be huge this year. Might decide who makes finals and who doesn't (or at least whether we make finals or not)

Norf should be a win at OS, i'd give them a snif if it ends up in tassie or some backwater VIC country ground.
Adelaide at AO is no gimme, say its a loss.

Saints at OS is no gimme anymore, but should win it
Collingwood at MGC, loss

Lions at Gabba, loss.

thats only 11 wins so good chance of us not even making the 8 gaiz.
