Hi guys, sorry to intrude.

Heard on the radio the other day (can't remember the name of the show - but Rucci and Tom Then (??) are hosts - "Off the bench" maybe?) that Neil Craig was being looked at as a coaching director or senior assistant. Haven't found much else on the subject since, which suggests to me they either made it up on the spot (they usually trot out bullcrap once or twice a week) or Craigy and the club aren't saying much (which is fair enough).

Anyone on here heard anything about that? Just curious that's all.

Regards
the rumours are of him going to Carlton in that capacity, not Adelaide.

I think you are being harsh on Worsfold.
He came here to help out our club and never made any promises.
We more than likely had already spoken to Pyke and possibly agreed to terms...
I think Essendon and Worsfold needed to have those discussions. Unfortunate it was so public but Worsfold and Essendon need to do what is best for them.
And it was disappointing the Essendon did not contact Adelaide

Essendon don't show anyone courtesy. They're a bunch of anchors.

Carlton to give him a lifetime contract.

Spoke to a friend who is good mates with Roo.

Reckons it was always going to be Pyke.

Crows were keen on Worsfold but Mrs Worsfold doesn't want to live in another two team town.
Supposedly 1.5 mil for 5 years at Essendon

Does anyone know if you can still bet on who the coach will be?
Roo has held a long Time belief that Woosha is perfect for our group

Craig and pyke? Just like 05 and 06 but pyke senior coach and Craig director of coaching?

Very unlikely but I for one wouldn't mind that. I know everyone hates Craig because of his last 2 years at the crows but he is a man of the highest integrity and character. You can forget about his record at Essendon and Melbourne too, no person on earth would've done any better with those two teams

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sportsbet doesn't have a market. I contacted them a couple of weeks ago and they were going to look into it. Never heard shit.

Agreed, it has to be Pyke. Too many subtle hints.

Pyke when he was on the radio was talking about his career. He said something like "yeah I did start at Adelaide" the way he said it the next line could have easily been "so it's ironic I'm now senior coach". Just sounded sus
Sportsbet have a limited market in terms of winnings on these kind of events. Up to only $500. I think this is at the direction of the AFL as well.

Hope it's Pyke:thumbsu:.

Roo/Fages have spoken about continuing Walsh's legacy and Pyke seems to be cut from the same cloth as Walshy i.e. experienced assistant, good tactical nous and a bit of a hard edge. Wouldn't surprise me if this is who they've always had in mind if we land him. There will sadly never be another Walshy:( but someone who is somewhere in the same ballpark in footy tactical brains like Pyke will have to suffice!

Whilst very unpopular to admit, I agree... I would love Craig back at the club in some capacity other than head coach.
Sad how much us supporters underrate him.

Rucci speculating in the Advertiser today that Craig will come back to be DOC to Campo

Pure speculation to fill space. Rooch is paid to write articles, so he does. Nothing more, nothing less
Rucci really is a peanut... It was never going to be Campo even if we won the flag...
How can he still have a job at the Advertiser?

Hang on Im pretty sure we stitched up an assistant before we had Walsh last year?
Development coach not line coach...
That was Ryan Okeefe, straight out of the game and raw...

I know Bass personally. He is not the easiest person to get along with... Whoever the new coach is would want to have a say with him, trust me.

Whoever it is, I want him to look every player in the eye and demand a commitment for the next 3 years.

If any individual doesn't want to fly as one, trade them. Doesn't matter who it is. We don't need any more deserters.
Could a player say ill give you one if you give me one which is simply impossible

Its difficult to request something that you can't give yourself

You hear this often and I for one Hope we avoid him forever. You can't be has coach in the all and be difficult to get along with. You need to be able to build relationships across the club. You also can't manufacture this skill
