Okay so Watson has been earmarked already as a player of the future, who else is out there that will make an impact on international cricket?

I reckon White from the Vics will play for Australia, and also Clarke form NSW...especially as he is from NSW which will help his selection!

Scott Meuleman from WA is looking a good prospect. Turns 22 midway through the year. So far averaging 24.46 in the Domestic Tests with 1 century and 1 half century from 13 innings. 1-Day domestic isn't bad either averaging 39 with no half centuries or centuries yet but he has still only played 4 innings in the game. He will still need to improve however if he is to get close to selection. Still, he looks quite promising.

Have a look at our under 19 side they are dominating at the moment and i dare say most will play at a high level.

Most don't. Not sure why.

Paul Rofe (SA) and Shane Watson (Tas) look very good and might be the next two to push for selection, Michael Clarke (NSW), Sean Clingeleffer (Tas), Scott Meuleman (WA) and Chris Davies (SA) also have shown a bit.

Yeah im a fan of Clarke and Davies.Meuleman has made a good start but hasnt earnt the tag of being the next big thing IMO as yet.

North of West Oz can play a bit, look out for him in the next few years.

Clingeleffer seems to be Gilchrist's successor, in about 5 years time if that's when Adam hangs up the gloves.
