not that upset to be honest, love Nank and heard a few times that he's the hardest working bloke at the club even more-so than timmy toronto and doesn't take laziness and excuses. love his heart on the field. just hope he doesn't get long term injured

Wouldn't have been in my top 3 choices, but at the very least we got rid of the co captain rubbish we tried.

Probably his last year as captain, while Yze gets a better sense of the group moving forward.

Nankervis is not the worst captain choice so I’m not upset, but the only way I’ll truly be happy with this is if he plays like he did in 2020. That was a captain-worthy finals series from him.

If we get the Nankervis of 2023 next year, then it’ll just be a choice we could’ve done better in. Players like Baker, Taranto, or Short would be better captaincy options than 2023 Nankervis.

I like how we got rid of the co-captaincy though.

How can we select a debatable 29yo no 1 ruck as captain? This must deflate the tyres of any of our backup rucks as they now know to drop the captain he need to do atleast 5 games straight of poor performances before they get considered. Very uninspiring. Should have went with baker, short or taranto.
