Look, none of us want Fraser, Chaddie Morrison or Wirra to leave, but in the end it's up to them, not us. I know Chad & Fraser love the lifestyle here (who wouldn't

), but all three feel they owe a lot to MM. Wouldn't you? But there's almost no chance of them going to MM's Collingwood through either draft, and even KJ isn't stupid enough to trade them..... unless some of the young WA kids at Collingwood want to come home? It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Jako will probably captain us when Bluey goes but it wont be for long cos he doesnt have long left himself. After that probably Cousins he leads by example or maybe White.
If we give up Wirra Gehrig or Morrison it better be for some darn good players i hope the eagles dont do anything stupid and trade them for young promising players that dont turn out well. If we trade them i want proven players but i dont think the eagles will be that stupid. Gehrig is unbelievably talented and one of few players in the AFL that can single handedly turn a game and Wiira has got class written all over him, probably a future brownlow medallist so my club better get smart and keep them.

Once Alistair Lynch retires, my guess is that the Lions will dispense with the dual captaincy that have had for the past four years. Michael Voss will be the captain of Brisbane Lions for a long long time if he wants it.
My five top candidates to hold the Brisbane Lions captaincy either in conjunction with Michael Voss or by themselves in the next ten years are:
1. Chris Scott (might be a little old at 30, but may get the dual captaincy in place of Lynch)
2. Marcus Ashcroft (still only 27, similar to Scott, candidate for dual captaincy only)
3. Jarrod Molloy (Fitzroy people would love to see this happen. Medium term prospect perhaps, maybe in conjunction with Voss. Form and fitness may count against his longevity however.)
4. Simon Black (probably when Voss goes)
5. Jonathon Brown (long term candidate)

Peter Bell is the logical choice at North.
