I think I'm still riding the brad train for captain, as nice the idea of Boaky doing the job is, I just don't trust he will stick around past free agency, maybe I'm being petty and phobic, but It sits nicer for me with brad at the helm, let Boaky be his 2IC.

Boak will be at Port Adelaide for life.

No current player has invested himself more in the club (outside of veterans Cassisi and Cornes who you would presume will be overlooked).

For me it's Boak for captain then any one of Brad, Hamish, Schulz, Trengove for VC. But Ijust love watching Trengove front the media, especially when they are on the attack

My only criticism to Travis how he drag's on the contract extension. Now I understand what happens between him and the club and what we read in the media are two different things, he still can control it. It's a very minor and critical blip on his CV however.

if he was selected I would be crying on my pillow that's for sure. Him, Brad, Jay all worthy, Jackson I think needs to focus on his game more than having that added responsibility, even though he would be great captain IMO also.

After what you told me about the pressure Boak came under to go back home, I have decided that I don't have a problem if he becomes captain given the saga he seemed to put us thru. But Brad and Schulz should be his deputies and Hartlett and Trengove as the other leadership group members.

Nice pickup.

Boak is the clear leader, he is the guy who sets the standard for professionalism on the track (with Kane) and is the type of player the new recruits aspire to be. Well spoken and clearly has the respect of the group, and has shown loyalty despite immense pressure from extenuating circumstances back East. Would love to see a Boak captaincy, with Hartlett, Ebert and Trengove a strong trio of deputies, with possibly Schulz in there as the older, wise head.

It's so obvious that I overlooked it. Well spotted.
