A marquee player of Dusty's stature would indeed help grow the profile of GWS.

But would it keep the profile high after he leaves?
Look to other sports, Alessandro del Piero was perhaps the biggest signing ever made by an Australian sporting team. Sydney FC got a major boost in media exposure and public profile for two years or so, but immediately dropped back. Franklin's Sydney deal was perhaps long enough to help change a market, would Martin be?

Not that anybody should be recruiting for profile anyway. Footballers are there for the football. Its up to admin to make the best sell they can with whatever the football department puts together.

I think he has more of a problem with James Hird coaching which can’t really blame him with I wouldn’t want him at the Lions either

Don Pyke for me, did a good job with the Crows and seems like a coach with unfinished business (similar to Voss). Hopefully Clarko can wait for Tasmania to arrive.

I voted other. There seems to be a heavy push/narrative to get Hird back into the coaching ranks and this seems the most obvious avenue.
Joined them earlier in the year and now steps into a supporting coach role to help out McVeigh for the rest of the year.
I don't necessarily agree with it, but the stars seem to be aligning.
