He played for the Jets as a defender last week for 14 touches and 6 marks. Not bad as a 16 year old.
Not sure about comparisons at this stage but he has said he idolises CJ Jiath as a fellow Sudanese footballer, he is already 6cm taller then CJ though. Without trying to stereotype if he can grow another 7 odd centimetres over the next 2 years he'd close to a Mac Andrew and hopefully just as capable forward and back.
Cheers for the info 👍🏼

Definitely think we should be moving our first next year to this year (if possible - you’d think suns / Brisbane will be interested with their academy).

Wanna get people's opinions on this thread going forward

How does everyone feel about me posting players stats throughout the season?

Would people prefer a mid-season breakdown of their stats.

More Table focuses

or people prefer week by week

as much info as you can give us so we can track progress, the better.

With the current limit on Category B rookies being two, the Western Bulldogs are in favour of having more flexibility with that list and increased numbers, which would likely lead to more opportunities for products of the NGA system. An extension of that is having priority access on players beyond their 19th year. Current rules stipulate that clubs have to nominate their interest in a NGA player if they have been overlooked in a draft but after their 19th year they lose any draft hold on the player. The Dogs put forward that as long as a club has continued to develop the player, potentially within their state league program, then they can maintain draft access over them given some NGA prospects will be coming from further back in terms of readiness for an AFL list spot. The Western Bulldogs were also among the clubs to be in favour of aligning AFLW NGA rules with the men's competition.

I've been a strong believer of the VFL team being part of the Academy progress

Glad that Dogs are pushing for this as well

Ideally, the increase cap from two to four will open up more clubs nominating players

Can't help but think that this is mostly because we want to take a player like Cooper Craig-Peters or Josh Chatfield for free if they were part of our academy and still playing for Footscray. Which isn't a horrible proposal as some only come into their own after a few seasons in the VFL

These are the changes I would love for NGA and Father Son

Players rights till age 21 as long as they are in your state team
Increase cap to 4 players
More carnivals to showcase talent
Open talent pool to Islanders

Dogs Under 15s NGA team played their carnival today

We got flogged but mainly due to a large number of players ranging from.11-13 years old

Edit: I'll update the main page of players played

I will need to update the list

Heraldsun confirming that Rebels Small forward Harley Hicks is part of our Academy Program

He's a legit jet with his running and goal sense

Is this the young lad

He said he is a Bombers supporter so probably headed there with Marra. I wonder when the Bomber Blitz rumours will start.
