Josh Rentsch made it into the final under-16 Vic country squad for national champs. Jacob Hill was the other local in the mix but missed out. Missed the final trial game due to injury, might have contributed to him missing out.

Ugle-Hagan just kicked his 5th on the siren against Calder. Took a great contested mark in the fourth, looked very good
And already 195+cm as a bottom ager. Will keep an eye out for him.

Memphis did an amazing job at the draftIf Jamarra is as good as touted I don’t care if we spend a 1st round.
Just like my NBA team. Pin hopes on Ja
Ill add Cody Raak to the main page after the footy
I suspect we'll lose our priority access. It's a stupid rule because clubs are getting players they aren't putting any work into, solely because of where they live.
What's annoying is that this all comes after North Melbourne and Collingwood got their freebies last year in Tarryn Thomas and Isaac Quaynor. Now right when we have a big load coming, only now does the AFL realize how stupid it is.
Wrong indeed.I might be wrong, but from my understanding that's only true of the Northern academies. Next Gen academies are pathways for players of different backgrounds to get a chance at learning how to play footy and the clubs do actually put a fair bit of work into training and teaching the players the game. It's not based on where the player is from like the academies of GCS, BL, SS and GWS.
