LUAMON LUAL

Club: Greater Western Victoria Rebels/ South Warrnambool FC/ Emmanuel College

Height: 181 cm

Weight: 72 kg

DOB: 28/03/05

A wingman or defender who is a well-balanced and skilful player, Lual is part of the AFL’s Multicultural Academy given he is of South Sudanese heritage. A good player one-on-one, he started the season in good touch as he averaged 17.8 disposals (6.3 contested) across the opening four games for the Rebels in the Coates Talent League. Lual is also part of the Western Bulldogs NGA program. Under AFL rules, the Bulldogs will be allowed to match any bid on him from a rival club after selection 40 in this year’s draft.

I would love him at the dogs. A future Doc replacement and I hope we can get him by him lasting until after pick 40.

Hussein Kadour with 30 disposals for the Jets.

Matofai-Forbes kicked 3 and was BOG.

LittleG what do you think of Kadour? Is getting big numbers. Barely a thing said about him amongst the watchers.
I think someone mentioned Matofai Forbes dominated playing seniors for his local club a few weeks back but I think he's in next year's draft.

I don’t get to watch anyone live anymore. [emoji20]

Unless they play in the Cairns league.

I will try and get an opinion from a scout I know (another Vic team) who use to provide me with a good idea on prospects. He was higher on Darcy in his year but lower on West than I was, so I think his opinion on a player is better than mine. [emoji1787]

Is he one of our NGA's?

He hasn't really stood out to me, but can intercept and plays mostly as a defender. I haven't watched him closely but don't think he has much of a defensive game.

He played a lot of footy as a forward in his junior career
From memory this is his first season in defense
So will take time for him to develop that side of his game

Hussein Kadour tore an ACL on the weekend.

Such a shame. I hope we still consider him for a spot.
If we take him in our VFL program to track his rehab progress, will we still get access to him in next years' draft?

I'm pretty sure we do considering we got Raak through Cat B the year after he was first draft eligible
Yep very good point

I think we could sign him as a category b rookie but didn't have exclusive rights anymore. I think once they've been overlooked once they are available to any club.

The AFL just changed the rules so if we overlook him he can sign as a category b rookie at another club too.

It's within 3 years of their draft year
Same for father-sons

WESTERN BULLDOGS

Alex Tsia
Ziggy Lee
Luamon Lual
Ziggy Lee has gone under the radar a lot
Was killing it as a under 15 year old
Oddly didn't make any under 18s team but is playing well for Redan atm

Do we know his height / what position he plays?

Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com
Last time I knew he was around 186cm at 15 years old
So probs around 190ish

Mainly played Ruck for our NGA team

Saw Ziggy Lee play in an under 19s game down at Sunbury the other week. Played mainly midfield and was heavily tagged, but was still the stand out player on the ground. Very clean skills, awesome below the knees, and just doesn't fumble. Got some heavy treatment off the ball but didn't lose his cool. Was pretty wet and slippery but he handled the ball like it was dry. I think he is captain of Redan's u19s. Definitely worth a look.
