His brother Mitch looks to be running around in the Northern League with Div 2 team Diamond Creek. They're looking a decent promotion chance early on, but he's not been mentioned in the bests.

Hopefully he can dig deep and put his hand up for Northern later this year.

Don't look now, but we might wind up with 3 top 30 prospects in this draft despite the Stocker and McGovern trades...

Sounds handy, who are they and what do you think we would have to give up? Lets hope the AFL don't decide to change the rules...

Wouldn't that just make our future if we were to bring in 3 or 4 really top talented young players.

I'm just referring to Cameron Wild, then Adelaide's first and our 3rd (37-45 range).

We should get a top 30 slider alongside those first two.

So are the players that are being mentioned like Cameron Wild and Sunny Brazier guys that Carlton has first opportunity to pick up? And if so anyone else worth keeping an eye on?

Yes

First opportunity but also a chance to be put on a separate list the rookie b list which clubs can take indigenous/multicultural players almost for free as they do not take up a spot on the main list

That's only if they make through the national draft without a bid, which is a possibility for Brazier.

Cam Wild named in Vic Country squad for upcoming U18 National Championships. Apparently played quite well in Vic Country trial game on the weekend.

Other notable names in the squad are Thomson Dow, Sam De Koning & Henry Walsh, siblings of Paddy, Tom & Sam respectively.

I also note there is a famous Carlton surname from the past, Comben (Charlie) included in the squad.

All of them? Or that's one criteria that makes someone eligible?
If their parents were born overseas, they have to have been from a non-English speaking background. For Indigenous kids, this requirement is removed.

Basically the idea is that they have been somehow culturally disadvantaged from reaching typical football pathways sooner.

So what's Sunny Braziers backround Jim?

He's a multicultural member of the academy, so a parent from a non-English speaking background is how he's involved. I've never seen a bio that explains his heritage.
