Be nice to have a young bat come through who doesn't want to hit everything for 6.Hit a nice one in the air to bring up 50 so he has got it in his arsenal. Just picks his battles which is great to see

A case in point Teague Wyllie.Young batsmen who start Shield cricket promisingly often face a second wave of challenges, once there's more footage and data available on them.
Bowling attacks hone in on weaknesses. Favourite scoring areas get closed off. Their technique gets tested.
Better I hope. Does he also bat. Why the tears of joy as Sabba has always been sub international level.Lachmund looks like Sean Abbot
He played youth test against India last year. Top scored in that match which ended up been the highest score by an Aus player across both tests. Didn't play the 2nd test though.Great start Aussies. Can see why even tho this is white ball. I liked Hogan's timing and placement. A white ball star is born. Am waiting for him to play a Youth Test before I can say a red ball star is born.
I look it and think great that he didn't just throw his wicket away. Not sure what to make of Nitesh Samuel's innings. 77* off 101 with no boundaries is impressive both ways. Didn't look to play any expansive shots at all, hence the 2s everywhere. Good runner between wickets though.
Oh absolutely, he did play well.I look it and think great that he didn't just throw his wicket away.
Limited can be a strength if he plays to his strengths. We don't need them all to score quickly.Oh absolutely, he did play well.
I just think he looked just a tad limited on the eye test. But these are 18/19 year olds after all.
Brisbane back in September/October.How did I miss that. Must find some footage. In India?
Brisbane back in September/October.
Sandgate-RedcliffeWhat club does he play for as he is now on my to follow list.
This news is a massive body blow for Tasmanian junior cricket and all those teens striving to play cricket at the most elevated level nationally. In my view having a small talent pool due to a small population is a major reason for this cull and I believe not because Tassie grassroots cricket is poorly run as the TCA boasts a robust Pathways system with every cricket playing area in the state covered at all levels. There is one Pathways change I have noticed past two yrs tho, the phasing out of their Under 17 rep red ball competition, a first step up the ladder for Tassie kids into first class cricket. This must be reinstated pronto.Between the 2006-07 season and 2013-14, 60 players represented Tasmania at under-19 level, with only 11 going on to represent the state and four eventually playing for Australia.
Has anything good ever come out of the Allies concept anywhere (any sport)? This news is a massive body blow for Tasmanian junior cricket and all those teens striving to play cricket at the most elevated level nationally. To be fair to the structure change, one NSW team has had a long period of successHas anything good ever come out of the Allies concept anywhere (any sport)?
Tassie would have known this CA decision was coming presumably or at least was on the cards. Their performance in national carnivals (white ball one day competitions) would have been an internal point of concern. There is one Pathways change I have noticed past two yrs tho, the phasing out of their Under 17 rep red ball competition, a first step up the ladder for Tassie kids into first class cricket.
