I guess he's intimately familiar with what not to do. His coffee game is elite too. verbal communications, not so much.
Verbal communication not elite?

He has an entire thread on Bigfooty, solely dedicated to celebrating his peerless prowess with the spoken word.

I therefore offer this, an assortment of his solid gold contributions to the English language, as a vehement rebuttal of your baseless allegations.

The external football 'expert' on the panel;

Jobe Watson
(according to Melbourne)
Watson is a respected football-figure who captained the Essendon Football Club, playing 220 games across his career. A dual All-Australian, Watson has an elite football IQ and an intimate knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a football department.

Much discussion, in recent times, about the culture of the Melbourne Football Club.

So Melbourne think to themselves, who was the bloke who captained Essendon when 34 past and present players were suspended for taking 'supplements'?

He's someone we'd want to help select our next coach.

Weird dumb club.
Wow - Why the hell would Melbourne engage with a convicted drug cheat?

Melbourne are an absolute shit show off field, and this just adds to the poor choices since Peter Jackson left.

Sturt (SANFL) Football Club has granted Melbourne (AFL) request to approach current Head Coach Martin Mattner about the recent vacancy for its Head Coaching Position.

Sturt currently Top of the Ladder in the SANFL and reigning Premiers are undefeated in 28 straight games.
Interesting post but neither a scandal or rumour.

Sounds like a fact and nothing scandalous about it.

Main board worthy thread.

Haha, good one.

The SANFL has a number of Victorians who move over because they can't make a VFL side. Nobody gets cut from SANFL and gets offered a contract in the VFL.

South Australians need to go watch some of the top local leagues in Victoria, they are probably equivalent of the mid-table SANFL teams.
These days the SANFL would probably be on par with the QAFL, which has improved a lot, and a massive leap behind the VFL. WAFL sits somewhere between the two, so yes - 4th tier, and fading.

Yeah nah this is not true at all, could give you plenty of examples of guys coming off AFL lists playing reserves at SANFL level. No doubt some local Vic footy is very strong. SANFL is slowly becoming more of a development league much like the VFL is, which is unfortunate.

As for Marty Mattner, would come down to a personal choice. Was probably harshly dealt with when an assistant at AFL level previously and has done very well at Sturt. Know for a fact that players love playing under him.

If the first paragraph is as 'accurate' as the second, this thread should never have started.
We were beaten in straight sets in the finals last year, so have in fact won 17 straight, and are not the reigning premiers.

Jobe has informed his dad of our next coach and it was announced it on TV last night:

For a while Seven had a very humorous segment called 'Say that again'. Nothing untoward, just good clean fun, usually of players and commentators putting their foots in their mouths. Tim Watson was on the panel and they would replay it every show to take the mickey out of him.

Brain completely in Neutral - You could literally see him searching for the next gear!

You know Goodwin was up to his neck in the goings on at Essendon right? He was texting Dank for the good stuff and shooting up in his office at Windy Hill.
Yes I do. Check my post history.

Wait, was I supposed to get all worked up defending a grub like Goodwin because he coashed a team I follow?

I know someone who played in a SANFL Premiship rencently, then went and played in one of the top Melbourne Eastern Football Leagues. He wasn't even considered by any VFL clubs.
He said teams like Blackburn are on par with SANFL standard.

SANFL is great local footy. Nothing wrong with that, but it's clearly no better than 3rd teir level, with other state-based comps and top Vic local leagues.
It's why Crows and Port want to join the VFL, they need their reserve players to be playing at a higher level, because currently the jump up to AFL is to big.
