Fully on board with the optimism for next season, would quibble the placement of a few players on that list, but the one that stands out like dog's balls is Joe Richards - Looking for improvement.

Joe finished 4th in our BnF, his stats were elite in handball, above average in disposals, kicks, marks, tackles and average in goals.

If he improves on that, he would be in the Becoming elite list.

You can't possibly equate him to Liddy and Mackinlay.

I'd have Drew in Looking for improvement. He is better than he showed in 2025.

Yeah, people will have their opinions on certain players.
Someone might be hot for Lorenz or know a bit more about Walsh than I do.

He finished 4th which is really good but in a very down year for the club and there are about 10 much more talented players who could easily jump over him in the count next year. He obviously did what the coaches wanted which is a bit reminiscent of Kane winning B and F's and being excellent at his job but his job not being as important as others. He had impact through work rate but not a lot regarding skill so that's where I would like him to be a bit more dangerous in front of goal. If he could get his goals up then we're talking. And in the end, I had to put him somewhere.

The bloke on PB's list who I am scratching my head over is Logan Evans. He showed great promise in 2024 but went backward in 2025, hopefully Josh can get him back on track.

In addition to improvement in individual players I hope that Josh Carr can get the team playing attractive football again. Back in September 2014 we played an Elimination Final against Richmond at Adelaide Oval and Richmond won the toss and kicked into the breeze. Port then played the best football I had seen from a Port side since the days of Jack Cahill in the SANFL. They kicked off with an 8.1 to 1.1 first term and that Final was virtually all over at half time. Unfortunately it was all downhill from 2014 and the Hinkley style became a game based on possession football at the expense of fast ball movement.

I do not quite share the optimism of some of you but I am still confident enough to contemplate buying a Membership.

Was going to say I think Hornet will rise in stature to be a competition top 15 elite player ................ but after this morning's training session..........

Ah well. Back to the drawing board!
Why? If anything today has fast-tracked his recovery by having the plate in his foot taken out early.

Also my pick, think he'll take a spot across HB that allows Rozee to play across all 3 lines and be damaging
Would love to see Rozee playing forward if this is the case and helping out in the midfield when needed
