In my opinion, there's two paths he could take to prolong his career: the forward pocket, or the green vest. Which would you say is the better option for the team?

The former.
Still burning off 18 years olds, no need for green vest just yet.
He's also too good to be plonked in the forward pocket.

I've managed to vote for both Drewp and Spits across these two merged threads (was blonde when I was a kid). Anywho, I'm shown as voting for Spits in the results so give it to him............although I'm not against Drewp getting it for a couple of years.............or Jack for that matter.

Let's face it, no one is going to be dissapointed with any of these guys as captain, they'd all make fantastic leaders.

I think Petrie would get the job if Boomer was to give it up, but I would prefer Swallow as I think he is is equally as qualified for the job and has alot more years left in him and I'd love to see him grow in that position, but when I see big Drewy using one hand to hold off a full back and one hand to pluck the pill, I get inspired as a spectator, can't imagine how the players must react when they see him doing those sorts of things. Jack definately has leadership potential in him but he's too young for it. Once he consistantly puts together some good, injury free seasons then I think he will be ready for more of a leadership role

That's assuming the Ziebell continues to improve at the rate that he did in 2011 (knock on wood). Swallow has proved enough leadership and consistency to take on the job now where as ziebz is still a work in progress. I agree about keeping Boomer as captain now as were still a relatively young team and need the best leader for the job now. But if boomer did decide that he wanted to pass the batton on to prepare for the future and i were doing the hiring id make petrie captain and have spitta and wellsy as vc's and ziebs as dvc.... maybe even a co captain job with drewy and spitta? im abit suprised wellsy's name hasnt been thrown around much, from what i hear hes got a lot more leadership in him than what his lay back style gives out. really good with the young blokes in the midfield
