On the basis of what we saw today, this is what I'm thinking:

Ottens has to play chief ruck. Blake simply isn't good enough. Djerrkura has to be brought in to act as a crumber and apply pressure inside our forward fifty (I'd rather Stokes and Stevie Johnson). Hawkins to make his debut staying inside the forward fifty as much as possible.

Agreed except Blake out instead of Hunt. Just play Ottens in the ruck and play Mooney for a bit in there if he needs a break.

For #!!!###sake get off Hawkins. He hasn't even done anything in the 2s yet. Give him a chance to develop. Tactics, lack of leg speed and no genuine match winner are our major problems.

Yes I have to agree , Even though I would love to have him in our side right now. It could do more harm than good putting him in now. Not to the team but to him. He needs to show some signs in the twos first

I can't beleive i am saying this, but i'd rather Spencer ahead of Hawkins at the moment. He is 18 with zero games. He'd be lucky to have a stat at AFL level.

What part of 'he is not ready' do you not understand?

It is not the fact that he isn't ready skills wise etc (which is probably true aswell), but its the fact that he is not fit enough.

He has played 3/4s of two VFL Games.

Would much rather play someone who is ready fitness wise such as Rooke, Gamble, S Hunt etc etc.

My Fantasy:
OUT: Ling, Gardiner
IN: Rooke, Gamble/Djerk

Most likely to be the reality of the situation:
OUT: Selwood/Mackie, Prismall
IN: King (only at 70% fitness), Playfair.

Geez I wish we had Stokes and Kelly to choose from.

Drop J.Hunt?? WTF? The guy has one average game. How about Harley(truely pathetic), D.Johnson & Scarlett? How were their games better than Hunt's? I agree that Hunt's disposal was off today, but he is one of the only good kicks in out team. We cannot sacrifice quality disposal at this point in time.

I doubt Rooke will come in after no match practice... This would be a foolish move. Talk about dropping blokes on performance after round 3-4, one 20 point loss.. big deal.. The whole team -Chapman played like $hit!

lets not give up on blakey to early...i mean sure he looks unbelievably awkward running and kicking at all times..he cant mark for a big fella and hes not strong enough to compete for a full game against opposition ruckman. but hey he could still become a good player

nah but seriously i believe we will be at our best with kingy and blakey doing the ruck duties and leaving otto at full forward!! its only bin one game, we have to persist with him at FF because if we can actually deliver the ball properly into our forward line he will kick goals. all this talk of hawkins so early is rediculous, hes not ready for it and we dont need him atm ne way..otto, moons and nath should be our talls with crumbers at there feet e.g gaz, chappy, selwood, stoksey when he gets back, djerk and varcoe if they can get a game.

and i no theres been alot of critiscism of what bomber is doing to some of our players and i dont disagree but i do think boris is suited to the role of mopping up across half back, and that dosnt mean leave your opponent to do whateva he wants but enright and dash IMO should be on the HBF..

Ive kept charlie and mackie in there because i rekon they could still play there role in the side. charlie clearly isnt there to kick bags of goals but if he can be there to lead up the ground and be the link man through the middle he will do ok and quite often he will give u a bonus goal here or there. he cops a lot of criticism and clearly hes not the best player on the team but he can play his part.

for mine u cant drop prismall...i seriously cant get enough of him i rekon hes gonna be a star and plus i dont think he deserves to get dropped. neither does selwood but i think if kingy and rooke come in it could well be tenace and selwood that get the chop...

OK, so your solution is to drop one of the playmakers in our team who has been one of our most consistant players in the last 3 years because of 1 bad game.. How exaclty is this going to fix the issue at hand?? The TEAM had an awful game... Gardiner made too many basic errors, and while I suppose he could be given another chance on the basis of his preseason form, I think Rooke and King returning would make keeping him too much of a risk.

You have to get your brain around the thought that whoever didn't play today is the magical fix for next week. This is a TEAM game, and a team has balance. You can't replace Hunt with Tenace or Prismall?? Hunt often takes the premier opposition small forward, earns by far the most rebound 50s and sets up many plays. Who cares about one fricken game?? Get it into your head that the TEAM performed badly as a TEAM. Swapping one or two players from 1 bad performance wont fix $hit!
