I see St. Kilda and Geelong developing a fierce rivalry over the next few years. You sainters have a good young list and even though they were shown up today it'll be a formidable outfit for years to come. With a bit of luck our sides will displace Freo, who can't win interstate and surely the Subi bubble has to burst soon, and Wankerlaide, the most overrated prancers in the history of the AFL.

If we'd made the most of our opportunities in the first quarter we could have had a 5 or 6 lead at quarter time and blew the game right open. However we didn't and as it turned out Geelong were the better team for the majority of the match and deserved to win.
I'm not too disappointed with the result, we've shown enough to suggest we've got a bit to look forward too in the future. The Cats might have gone backwards this season but with a midfield made up of youngsters like Corey, Enright, Ling, Kelly, Bartel and Ablett, a ruckman like King and defenders such as Scarlett and Harley, the future can't be too bad.

I thought it was a pathetic effort by St Kilda. Only half a dozen players put in. Gehrig couldn't give a rat's botty. Well done by Geelong though; they were much better than us.
