im seriously excited, wish I had a controller now, loved 2k5 so much, hope they have or add the sportscenter feature in future
The only thing I didnt like about 2k5 was the strong i formation off tackle run was beast vs the computer, you could just keep running it and the ai couldnt stop it, but the overall game obviously shits all over madden, the way players move interact etc

Yea, I remember there being a few ways you could cheat a bit (all games have this though it must be said, play you can spam that's unstoppable), but I haven't played it in so long I cant remember, was so much more natural than madden though, touch arcing passes over lbs instead of throwing flat etc

First roadblock encountered....

===========
Getting Started

This build release is based on stable PCSX2 1.6 and includes all mod files plus the working plug-in needed to run this mod. The initial release includes an overhaul of menus, logos, stadiums, uniforms, even Chris Berman and the sports desk.

Note: You will need to use your own PS2 BIOS as well as your own NFL 2K5 PS2 ISO

Everyone can download the mod from www.nfl.2k5resurrected.com
===========

That site doesn't exist. Have to try and find where I can find this to download.

Just putting this here now so you see later.

You have to download a Ps2 bios.

first you click the download menu and select your operating system...yours would be macos.

then you download the bios and save it to your hard drive, same place imo as where you're storing the 2k22 game for ease.

i created a folder 2k22 on desktop and just dumping everything in there.

I got it working, but my laptop is a donkey, so when the game plays it's lagging badly, the commentary is in slow-mo talking and the action on the field is slow-mo.

See screencap of it working for me.

But there are a number of issues still i have to figure out, a lot of the jerseys and players are new, but a lot of the teams are still outdated, like Feeley for the Dolphins etc. Have to figure out how to get it all working later. But for me, it's running like a dog.

Steps for you....

1. Create a new folder on desktop where you dump everything in it. Call it 2K22 Game or something.

1. Download actual game from here (it's like a 2gb file)

2. Download a PS2 BIOS from here

3. Download the updated rosters/playbooks etc and the full package for the modded game from here

Go thru the steps, selecting Xbox Controller, selecting Mac OS system.

Extract all the zip and z7 files and delete the compressed files once you have them all extracted in their own folders all inside the 2k22 Game folder you initially created.

Open the PS2 Bios file you downloaded and extracted, open the NA folder (north america) and open the folder called SCPH-70012 NA 200. Copy all the contents in there (three files) and paste them into the modded file directory ... NFL2K5ResXBv1.2Full > XBv1.2Full > NFL2K5Res_1.6 > bios

Open the downloaded ESPN 2K game and find the .iso file, copy it and paste it into the directory .... NFL2K5ResXBv1.2Full > XBv1.2Full > NFL2K5Res_1.6 > iso

Now go back to NFL2KResXBv1.2Full folder and open the tutorial pdf, put it one side of the screen, and then locate the file pcsx2 . exe and open it.

Now follow the steps from the tutorial of what to enter, select etc in the pcsx2 module.

There's a section where you have to have your controller plugged in and using the Y and B buttons on your controller which are the triangle and circle buttons for this ps2 emulator part. Theres a part in there where it doesn't look like what the tutorial says it looks like. Don't matter.

Now to actually run the game, in that pscx2 module you click the SYSTEM menu and select BOOT ISO fast and that will actually run the game....if you've followed instructions.

The screen will now appear, and all buttons are Xbox controller now, not PS2, if you chose the Xbox Controller option all the way back at the start when you first downloaded the mod file.

You go into Game Options and LOAD all the files in there, which are the new rosters, playbooks, etc.

Again, like I said, the only issue I'm having is not all teams/players are updated, so I have to figure that out.

Oh sorry, also, you have to extract the existing elu file that's zipped in the iso directory of the modded file, and move that to its parent iso folder.

So the actual espn 2k5 game iso and the elu iso are both in there together.

Sorry part 2....

when you get to the tutorial part for the following...

DVID > ISO > select iso, first choose the elu iso and using the controller as per instructions (like i said, it doesnt look like the tutorial says it does, probably some issue there why some of my things arent working?).

then to actually run the game, you DVID > ISO > select iso, choose the ESPN 2k game iso, confirm to swap disc, and that file is what actually plays the game.

ok to get the updated roster/unis you open the file for 2k22, and enter the memory card section, find the pcxs2 memory card folder, copy the file in there and paste it all the way over into the main mod file in the memory card section. and probably delete the 2k21 file in there. but im not gonna do that yet until they update the tutorial for using the new 2k22 rosters/ratings/unis/playbooks/fields. i am sure you just have to copy-paste the files from that over to the main mod file, but i will wait.

Sorry....for step 3 in the initial post above....make sure you navigate to this page first, as you then get to choose whether you want playstation or xbox controller buttons....

first download the FULL.pkg
then navigate back to that link, select xbox controller again, and this time select the update FIX.pkg

once you install the full package then there are instructions how to install the fix to update the logos/teams/textures etc.

and here's the tutorial for the FIX part of it....

Its actually easy once you do it. Seems like sending a rocket to space at first. Just gotta download all the files, extract them, copy a few files from one to another, run the emulator config, follow the instructions. Finally wheb ready to play, switch the iso ("disc") inside the emulator to the game iso and away you go.

Thought my laptop was a decent one, for graphics card, only bummer for me, doesnt handle running the game well, have to get a better one.

Well I got a faster processor put in my Mac when I sent it in for repairs so shouldn't be an issue for me I wouldn't think
