Yawkey way
Where does the eulogy begin?
It’s an unusual situation, it really is time for a parting of the ways. The Patriots are in for some real pain and I’m resigned to that, we need to rebuild and we simply can’t do that with Belichick as GM and coach at 71. It’s also impossible to just remove him as GM and leave him as coach so I’m happy Bob Kraft has made the hard decision and ended things cleanly.

Belichick really was and still is imo an incredible coach, sure he had Brady but what great coach doesn’t have great players. I really liked what Brady, Kraft, Moss, Edelman and other former patriots had to say. Plenty of people have been talking him down since Brady left and that’s ok that’s sport. He will be head coach somewhere else next season and that will be really interesting, I think it will need to be a well positioned team in win now mode and I hope he has some success but more likely than not it will end as it usually does, in tears.

I‘m not sure who I want to see at the patriots I just hope it’s not Mayo who despite being well regarded internally has no experience other than being a linebacker coach, maybe Vrabel is the man. I’m more interested in who is the next GM and what we do at the draft because frankly we’ve sucked for years and that’s on Bill as well.

So when the dust settles Belichick is certainly in the conversation as the coaching goat, longevity and 8 Super Bowl wins 6 as head coach is just unbelievable. It’s almost full circle for me after some fantastic wins the Red Sox and the Patriots both suck again.

I love your last paragraph.
Isn’t that life?
Belichick reminds me so much of Alex Ferguson.
Different sports and culture, but both are a colossus of their time.

PS: got some friends in the States who are in mourning tho.

disgraceful effort from Dallas, surely heads are going to roll after this.
Just another year for America's Team. Absolutely laughable stuff, biggest choke artists out there.

Good luck today George hope you smash them
Thanks mate! Just fired up the BBQ, couple mates over, maybe one or two beers :moustache:

Nervous but think we have just enough to at least get past the Bucs.

You ran over the top of them early in the season but if you don’t bring your A game they have Evan’s, Goodwin etc and can really surprise teams. Baker mayfield has actually had a pretty good season but you should get past them.

Good luck.

Packers holding their own in the first half, hope they can knock off SF. Their play last week v Dallas smells a bit like one of those wildcard teams going on a run to the SB.
