Keep an eye out on the boys brockwell. Will surprise many picked up extraordinary quality so far.

Wouldn’t say Stanton, Johnson and Trufeldt are extraordinary. How many games will Stanton actually play? Bottom 4 players of every team is what will set sides apart.

Good on them, this will be a logistical nightmare with fixturing. Would be nice if Eltham had good enough lights to play a 19’s game after the seniors. $$
Pretty amazing a club like panther hasn't had a light upgrade. Their new rooms are going to be great. Would be nice of the AFL to throw them some new lights for producing so many players for them!

Lights are in the pipe works. Could be as close as mid season this year

A set of lights from Western Bulldogs would be fair compensation for the Bont

Panther to field two under 19s this year. Great for the depth and club itself

I regularly drive past Susan Street on the way home from work and the numbers have looked very good. I assume the stronger of the two Under 19's will play in Division 1? Considering it's unlikely that Hurstbridge, Heidelberg and North Heidelberg will field 19's it would make sense.

The drums are beating very loudly that Lalor will be in Div 3 this year. No team in div 3 will come up . Stay tuned.

Hope thats not the case for Lalor as its a tough ask to bounce back from that.

With the Eastern league going to 5 divisions and the EDFL also expanding into strong growth areas, where does the leave Northern? Not much room to grow at all.

While other leagues are booming, the NFNL is shrinking.

Seriously need to consider making plays for clubs to join such as Templestowe, Bulleen Templestowe and North Brunswick

Really? Surely the the best scenario for lalor. Drop back and win a hand full of games seems a lot better then 200 point drubbings.

As for the league having 5 divisions isn’t the sign of a strong league. The Vafa has 7 and the bottom 3 are extremely poor.

I think the northern footy league would be happy to have 3 strong divisions

How are the divisions strong when you have just said there is 200 point drubbings?

Division 1 will be an amazing standard this year, no dramas there at all.

Long term viability of clubs in division 2 and 3 is the main concern.

I didn’t say they are currently strong but that would be the aim for the northern footy league. I don’t think growth into a 5 division league is a concern for them in terms of matching it with the efl

The EFL has 45 teams across 4 divisions.

They are simply re-adjusting the teams they have to provide a more even promotion : relegation system

Will the league want 7 in div 2 or will they put the question out there to other clubs and in div 3 if they wanted to come up ( Panton Hill, st Mary’s, epping) so they have are even amount in div2.

It would make sense for Panton Hill to come up IMO appear to be in the healthiest position financially to compete
