Creek V Epping- Pingers just over creek, who will have a real crack to keep there double chance alive.
Dogs V Thomo- Doggies to hammer the bears & put a big percentage gap on creek.
Stars v Lalor- Think the stars should get the choclates
Sthm V H bridge- Thought the young Bridges had a crack last week & might cause an upset & keep the relagation stakes alive.

Fitzroy All Stars vs Lalor - The All Stars should be able to handle the Bloods especially if they have designs on going past the first week of the finals.
Diamond Creek vs Epping - An important match for potential finals bragging rights and the Blues should again get home against the Demons.
South Morang vs Hurstbridge - Don't think the Bridges will get that last hurrah here against the Lions as they head back to the lowest division.
North Heidelberg vs Thomastown - Another big win coming up for the Doggies here over the Bears with the interest to see how many majors Harvey snares as he races towards the ton.

Well this is it for some.
Epping has top well and truly sewn up with bragging rights the only thing left.
North with a game and 20% in hand should fininsh 2nd and would love to have a win over Epping going into the finals.
Diamo will have a big win over Lalor but look set to play Stars in the the Elimination final next week.
Stars have 4th in the bag and will be setting there sights at the Elimination final.
Lalor will be glad 2012 is over.
As for the remaining 3 teams who is going down to D3 ?
If Hurstbridge can knock of Stars it will give them 12 points & %.
It then comes down to Morang v Thomo and the looser would be on their way to D3 due to %, The only thing that would upset this would be a draw LOL.
Anyway
Epping to stay undefeated by 2 goals over the Doggies
Creek by 15 Goals over Lalor
Bridge at home with a lot to play for will win by 3 goals over Stars.
And the relegation game to be a draw, with some tanking involved, Morang 4-1-25 v Thomo 4-1-25 LOL
Good Luck to all
Go Epping !

Any truth to rumours the stars may rest a few players this week to be cherry ripe for 1st week of finals? They already know who they are playing.

Hurstbridge would be happy if this was the case.

Dont worry about the 1st week of finals Frumpy. If my mail is right the stars are going on the best footy trip you have ever seen, very similar to the now famous Lower plenty/Heidelberg match a few years back which sent the bloods packing from Div1 to Div2!!

HBridgeV Stars- Bridges to get the money & stay up (Stars off to Vegas for the footy trip!)
SthM V Thomo- Lions to get up & stay up
Bloods V Creek- Creek easy, but not easy enough to give them any hope of 2nd
Pingers V Dogs-Wet track up High st. not sure who it will suit, tip the dogs to get one on the Pingers before the finals.

Hurstbridge vs Fitzroy All Stars - Last roll of the dice for the Bridges with a win required to survive in the division but don't think the All Stars will want to go into the finals season on a losing note.
Epping vs North Heidelberg - The red-hot premiership favourite Blues met the Doggies for the third of potentiall five meetings this season and should be able to maintain their unbeaten record while the Doggies will need to contain the margin to keep the double chance.
Lalor vs Diamond Creek - The Demons would need a massive win to possibly grab the double chance and while the Bloods haven't fulfilled their bluster after relegation in 2010 will still be competative in this one.
South Morang vs Thomastown - The loser could potentially find themselves out of the division for 2013 come games end with both the Lions and Bears disappointing last week and think the home side can just win out.

just wondering did anyone else hear the rumour that hurstbridge paid fitzroy stars a substantial amount of money to loose?

Well done to the Doggies yesterday, played the conditions so much better than we did.
Throws the finals wide open.
To the Epping boys well done 17 wins out of 18 game is a fantastic effort, Now the season really begins two wins and it's all ours Go Pingers !

The same could be said about your mob but we won by purer guts
it was a rumour I heard in the rooms after our game, by players, and your comment is amusing considering we have very little funds, we barely collect any money at the gates due to the set up of our grounds. Hope the stars do well at Las Vegas, and good luck to thomo in div 3. The conditions were the worst I have seen for a very long time, the last quarter both jumpers and players were brown with mud, and the ball never travelled anymore than 10 meters at a time. SM had a 5 goal buffer in the first quarter, that got us thru in the end.

Tipping the pingers to win against the doggies, probably needed that loss last w/e to ensure a double chance
Diamo will be more determined to win than the stars.

Cha Ching $$$$ 2 - 4 key 6'6" tall players
Plus depth for when the injuries come. Interested to know how you guys are going to get the thirds back? Will be a hard task, especially with no 17's at juniors. Same issue for Nth Heidelberg. Can only keep going to the same well(players) for so long!

No doubt it makes it tougher without kids, but it is not impossible to survive & be powerful. Recruiting is massive, the doggies have taken a little time to come around to the fact, this year have had 20 new players come to the club 15 have played seniors, until hopefully we can get the juniors back up & running that is the way forward, lets not worry about what Epping need in Div 1, let them worry about getting there, tough conditions Saturday but we hammered them, scoreboard flattered the pingers take the 3 50 meter penalties out that were direct goals & they kicked 2 for the day.

I'm lead to believe we already have 20 + players committed to coming to playing u/19's @ Epping next year and are working at getting some others back to the club. We will have a full list of junior teams as well.

I think the Doggie's might have played there hand 1 game to early, he is a big unit :). Go Pingers gotta love finals

Three 50 metres for 3 goals. Were the penalties given for undisciplined play? If so, can the doggies change for the big dance?

Discipline has been much better all year Tiger, but will need to be better come finals time than last week although i did feel a couple were on the stiff side but thats footy.
