NFL Div 3 2017

I actually wondered when I read the racial stuff if it was as you state given I seen the young fella snagged 5. Sounds like the club is all over it which is great, no need for knuckleheads these days as it sadly overshadows the efforts going in to paint the club positively given both arms (seniors and juniors) were welcomed into your NFL community.

Although not involved at present other than supporting when time permits, I can 100% vouch for those in positions of trust and power at Kilmore FC and that anyone found to have transgressed will be more than dealt with as I agree it's embarrassing for the 99.99% who do the right thing.
I think it's about time we understand the deep ramifications here. Racism and a supporter trying to bottle a player after the siren. I don't particularly care what Kilmore try to brush this as but it happened. The comp has worked far too hard to stamp this out and now a club who recently went cap in hand to be accepted into the NFL has been involved not once, but twice this season. I'm not buying this forward nickname crap, because "coons" doesn't rhyme with black c&&t or any other names those "supporters" decided to throw over the fence. Those reports were made by mums and families. Action must be taken and if the NFL don't, I hope the player who got jumped after the game does.

Watched the first quarter .Southern end 15 meters from the point post and five meters from me was an NFL umpire official. He would have heard and observed the same Kilmore behaviour . It was undeniably vocal, affected and antagonistic. Now the league can't just brush this behaviour off when they have some one there who has the first hand privilege to witness Kilmore Spectators .

Certainly wasn't trying to hose anything down I assure you, like I said wasn't there not involved at club currently but feel for those getting let down by a few knobs. Like you all I hope those involved cop their right whack for their part in it and are dealt with severely.

No need for it, we often say "these days" but any days, even 20-30 years ago as a kid you see/hers things that stick with you so I pray those children who witnessed stuff aren't scarred by it or put off going to local footy in the future.

Sounds disgraceful what took place at H/West & obviously there's no place for any of that behavior on any oval , involving any sport ever!
But to blame a football club for the actions of a few dickheads , doesn't seem the right outcome.
Lose points , kicked out of league? Ridiculous , when onfield kilmore haven't had any issue of this nature in all the time I can remember.
I was at Mernda game & on that day there was a small , pissed filled bunch of young blokes , who were over the top with their abuse of the opposition , yep things could have got nasty , but kilmore president was front & square & immediately escorted these guys out of the ground & told them never to return. They weren't players , ressies or seniors , they were spectators. The sort of people who give/do nothing for the club , yet turn up to 'support' a few mates who play with Kilmore. Been to a few games since then , at home , & haven't seen any of them at any game since.
What should have happened if there was racial abuse , or explicit language , the police should have been called , it's public place & obviously this behavior is against the law..
the only outcome I can see which seems fair is , these guys are held accountable for their actions.
Police should charge them , assault & racial abuse ,seems their were many witnesses. Then the league should ban them for life from attending any game. I'm sure kilmore would have already banned them from the club.
Knowing Nath the kilmore snr coach , he'd be disgusted as would any right minded football follower.

Nice to hear a voice of reason. Kilmore have been instructed by the league not to comment until the outcome of an investigation. I can assure you the Kilmore hierarchy will swiftly deal with any offending parties.

So, in conclusion the club shouldn't be held accountable for the second offence this year and we should all just focus on the conduct of players on the ground as opposed to the "supporters" off it? The NFL welcomed Kilmore into the league and with that, the ramifications of both on and off field sanctions need to apply, not when it suits Kilmore due to a technicality of a non player or official. This nonsense response to the event is what makes the argument ridiculous. Even if it were "mates" of players it's still not an excuse as a HW player was racially vilified and attacked with a bottle. These were Kilmore supporters, like it or not and although understandably not a player or official, still represent the Kilmore FC. This isn't a witch hunt, and if it seems that way I apologise. However, I feel really strongly about this due to the actions of the Kilmore crowd members to a single out a HW player verbally and physically on the field. If the NFL had any substance, they would punish the club from both a points and financial perspective. I bet my last dollar this would see a massive uplift in Kilmore crowd behaviour.

Losing points? So your saying the game should be a no result?

I'm saying a loss of points and a fine would send a very strong message to all clubs that this type of behaviour is just not acceptable, while also remembering this isn't the first issue of poor Kilmore crowd behaviour for the year. Whether it's a no result or deducted points that would be up to the NFL. Harsh, maybe, but the events really reflect poorly on the reputation of the NFL and it's associated members.

As I posted earlier , I'm a mernda life member who was at the other game , apart from a few young blokes mouthing off a little too much , no incident took place. The guys mouthing were escorted from the oval by the kilmore president. So i don't think that would be classed as an incident??
What happened on weekend , from all reports , was disgraceful there's no doubting that. And if kilmore said 'bad luck' I'd say the club needs to be punished in some major way.
But if the club reacts harshly to these blokes & the league does the same & police get involved , im sure those responsible will be made accountable. If they were registered players , well then punishment could be swift & harsh, but as blow-in spectators at an away game , not sure anyone except the individuals are to blame.
There's nothing stopping anyone, from outside any club , coming along to a game and causing trouble.

Having seen kilmore play in the rdfnl and the nfl seems to me that there is a major spectator/member issue more then likely stemming from the rdfnl. From memory spectators/members were involved in criminal/thug like behaviour when arron james was running around the ground! As recently as Saturday a senior player from wallan was attacked from a spectator jumping the fence and punching said plyer to the back of the head. (I would hate to be that coward punching peice of s&@t when he or his family walk into any club or pub in the future) point being i think the rdfnl have a real culture and aggression problem with there member/ spectator base and for me that is one thing we dont need in the nfl! Kilmore/the greenies will try and sugar coat/load it with extra mayo say it never happend/shaggy it wasn't me! but fact is you can not polish a turd kilmore are troubled and going by what happend on the weekend so is there previous league no wonder they can not run there own administration.

The beauty about big footy is being able to voice an opinion and although respecting your view, I couldn't be further from agreeing. If it happened to a Mernda player I can't help to think your view would be much much different. I don't have an allegiance either club involved but the distaste of racism and attacking of a player is about as low as it gets and action must be taken - surely. I would be very dirty if it happened in a few weeks time when we need to play them.

Kilmore should be fined and then just not pay up like the blowies have for years

We all can't buy a new side every year like the Berbers amazing what a few (little) wins does been very quiet across the road lately back to div1 thred champ

EPPING to beat Kilmore by 88

SOUTH to beat WEST by 52

in form side of the comp shouldn't drop this.

BANYULE by over 100 against Laurimar

different classes

ST MARY'S by 40 over Mernda

burra have been jittery but should handle the demons at home.

Should be a pretty standard weekend with no upsets.
All sides that will make the 4 will win comfortably

It wouldn't surprise to see West pull off an upset this week. Epping/Kilmore should be a good game.
