Torrents?

samFFC whats this seasons4u business? Is it equivalent to Game Pass with live games and then games on demand etc?
That's one option, I also know a website that has all games in full and condensed. Can't remember how fast they are put up after the game but it's always been reliable in the past.

It's got the last 2 seasons atm

Sports broadcasting rights aren’t calculated on a per subscription basis....they take the cost of buying the rights, determine the gross revenue, divide it by expected subscribers and there is your annual sub. However less subscribers means the cost per head goes up to hit the gross revenue target.

I am sure NFL Gamepass has been getting thousands/millions of more subscribers around the world every year for the last 4 years, and yet the price has done nothing but rise.

Upping the price every year doesn't entice customers. I pay for a lot of services ... when they are affordable for the quality they provide. NFL Gamepass however, is not valued affordably.

Not necessarily as Gamepass in its current form has only been around 3 years after merging a bunch of others services..yes it is expensive but it the only legit service that gives you every game.

Of course it's the only legit service. It's a monopoly. NFL property.

No. Only for the initial purchase.

To expand and make it clear for anyone with any doubt, similar principle has applied for NBA League Pass. Australia has high pricing. For multiple seasons purchasing that via a Canadian VPN brought it to half price. Last season was even more cost savings via a Mexico VPN.

With regards to the NFL, last season Colombia was the best option by far. You just have to be connected to that VPN when making the purchase and after that you don't need to worry.

Keep and eye on the net for the best deal this year. Google search "NFL Gamepass Ozbargain" and you'll do well. Alternatively there's an NFL thread on Whirlpool worth keeping up with for similar news.
That's interesting. I would have thought you'd have to be connected to that VPN when you wanted to watch the games.

So if you did it that way, there's no reason it wouldn't still work on Apple TV without using a Colombian VPN?

If you think Gamepass is hiking prices too much go see what fans attending games are forking out to attend games....especially those teams in new stadiums.

Popularity costs.
Seen a lot of half empty stadiums at times last year. When you already have all the prime time games and redzone on Fox/7 another $300.. tell em he's dreamin'

That's correct...I have an Australian subscription and used it all across South East Asia last year with no need to VPN back to Australia.

Unless your prepared to pay to watch the team you chose to follow that doesn't feature on prime time regularly.

Another year of overcharging, didn’t pay it last season won’t be paying this season. ESPN and 7mate cover enough anyway.

$300 is a ******* joke.

Yep I refused to pay last year and didn't really miss it - just IQ'd Redzone and TNF/SNF/MNF every week so saw pretty much everything anyway. Any games I wanted to watch condensed I found through a torrents site.

Looks like they have the " Follow your team " option for $180

Haha it's actually getting worse instead of better. Look at the second option, if you want to pay only for the regular season (cos all playoffs are on 7Mate/ESPN) you can't watch games live and don't get redzone included - and here's the kicker ITS ONLY $40 CHEAPER THAN THE ALL INCLUSIVE OPTION.

Yeah I love watching the NFL but with that price scheme they can get stuffed, torrents for me.

Brasher until the NFL stop chucking out unencrypted HTTP streams of everything with near no checks there is no incentive to pay for their massively overpriced service.

It's like a box of apples with an honesty box only they are asking $300 each.

I get that but I wonder what the right price for the apples would be to prevent someone just taking them without paying.

You could make GamePass a third the price and I have no doubt a lot of the people would still not join. Me thinks, many just use the price of GamePass as an excuse to justify their pirating ways.

And if I sound a bit soft bellied on it, I probably am, since I do digital intellectual property commercialisation for a living.
