Why didn't people just renew from last year? Isn't it still cheaper to renew than to try and get a 10-15% off voucher code?

Dunno, when I got the "auto renew" email I'm pretty sure it had this year's rates on there. Can anyone confirm this? Also keep in mind it will be in US dollars and since the AUS dollar has dropped you'll be paying more.

Yep. Auto renew is purely just a payment convenience feature. The prices don't change whether you auto renew or not.

I got the auto-renewal warning email some time ago and finally got around to looking at it. Says I'll autorenew for AUD $165. However the new price for GamePass appears to be $255 in (I'm guessing, since there's no indication) USD.

When I went to disable autorenewal, the fine print with the checkbox says "Yes, I agree to subscribe for auto-renewal billing as outlined in the Terms & Conditions, and I understand that I will be auto-renewed annually (on or around August 1) for an NFL Game Pass Season Subscription at either the same price as the previous year's full season rate or the current full season rate, whichever is lower."

Looks like leaving autorenewal on will save me $90 or more, depending on the currency of the $255. Am I reading this all correctly?

However when I looked after the failure to autorenew, it had dropped back to AUD$165 when purchased separately. So who knows what happened in between there.

The $255 is AUD for Season Plus - $165 is AUD for Regular Season only.

The email I got had these amounts for autorenew which is why I cancelled the autorenew - although they state it will give you the lower proce between last years or this years there was not enough info so though I'd just be better off cancelling autorenew and signing up with a discount code if/when one comes out.

EDIT: Did you end up keeping the autorenew on? How much did it charge you and was it for Season Plus?

Nah, checked that too at the time:

It's showing me $355 as the new season plus price. BTW all these prices are in AUD (I just found the option on the top).

Prices have definitely changed from when I checked them back then.

I did keep autorenew on. It didn't work - I wasn't charged and I didn't have access when trying to view the HoF game. I've had GamePass for two or three years now, and only ever buy regular season only given all finals are on FTA.
 
I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but if you select to pay your subscription in Brazilian Real, the prices are a little cheaper.
Based on current exchange rate:
Season Plus = $237.50 (saving of $17.44); Season = $153.79 (saving of $11.20); Follow Your Team = $118.75 (saving of $11.24).

It's now after COB Tuesday in the US... and I haven't heard anything.

I'm not having a go at you sparky - but I am having a go at the seemingly lazy and/or incompetent people that you work with. Never in my life have I had so much trouble getting someone to take my friggen money. I'm damn close to telling the NFL to jam it and using nefarious means to watch games this season.

I will second and third this. Emailed about cancelling my free trial so it doesn't debit the full amount, that was last Thursday. No response as yet, despite sending a follow up email. This is also despite them stating they will endevour to respond to emails within 24 hours. Their customer service is terrible.

Argh - sorry to hear this. Our subs director told me he'd contacted our provider (Subs are handled by a 3rd party for International Customers) and it should've been sorted out. I will speak to him again first thing tomorrow morning. That's not good enough. Apologies.

Hey mate, thanks for that. I think I have managed to find a way to cancel it so it won't debit the full amount. I will just now manually sign on for the season pass at $164.99

The email was unclear - it has always said it will autorenew at the cheaper price (last year vs this year) but the email said it will autorenew and charge you $255 on Aug 1 which is this year's price and more expensive than last year's. That's why I cancelled my autorenew just in case it charged me the higher rate. Did yours autorenew on Aug 1? If so how much were you billed?

I think the other issue is the different exchange rate compared to last year which will make a difference also.

Pretty stupid that you can't toggle the autorenew on/off in your account - once it's off, it's off unless you email them and that results in its own issues as the previous posts indicate.
 
Hi guys if you want to get game pass on your PS4 you can.

Download plex media player on to your laptop (PC or Mac)

Go to settings>web>player> select experimental player

Press on the home icon>Channels>install channels>Install NFL network

After installation, go in to the NFL Network channel, click on the cog icon and enter your GP details.

Go in to media player on PS4 > Plex Media Player > Video Channels > NFL Game Pass

Should work.

Just looked at by CC statement and I was charged the normal installment amount as per previous years in August. It is about the same as last year but I'm putting that down to the exchange rate if there was supposed to be a discount from previous.

Without pulling out the spreadsheets it does look like I've been charged correctly.
