Logged on to the AppleTV last night and saw the complete back catalogues of Hard Knocks, A Football Life, Americas Game and a couple of other programs were up. Can't remember if they were there last year but I didn't think so so that's a step forward.

Will likely give in again shortly. My first experience without it trying to watch some pre-season games was sub-standard as expected.

if it had the app available on the tele like the MLB i'd consider it. but the hassle of hooking up my lap top to the tv and sorting out connection problems just means i'll pirate like a mofo. -also the price is steeper then the bulli pass

Can't you use chromecast or something? Not sure if it supports a native app but there are other options besides hooking your laptop up to TV (AppleTV is one, they're only about $100 from memory for the ATV3).

Can I get a discount anywhere or am I done for $265?

Yes, have had it for years, but the price just keeps going up. I already have foxtel and the 49ers will be hopeless this year, and I can't watch live games Monday morning anymore. So unless I found a discount voucher, I may give it a miss this season.

Yep, I had the trial last week and was playing it through the iPad via Chromecast onto the TV

yes limited space, combined with having to walk across the room to switch games and having to sometimes **** with problems on my end.

MLB, i simply sit on the lounge and use my remote. the MLB app is cheaper, requires no ****ing with cable or fixing issues, crystal clear images.
for the price the NFL is asking they can bloody well make it ergonomic.
