Not really app related, but one thing that really bothers me is how they show scores of concurrent or previous games down the bottom. It means that if there's an early game on that you want to rewatch later, you can't really watch any other games because at some point the stats/scores will scroll along the bottom of the screen and tell you the result.

Yeah this drives me nuts too! Even if you do hide the ticker they often switch to updates from other games during play so it gets spoiled anyway

Thanks good to hear.

Will those in-game stats be made available after games are completed?

Both in-game and post-game. There will be an extra section in the Matchups screen in addition to the drive chart and other stuff currently in there. Player stats, team stats, etc. All the usual stuff. We've got a complex and powerful back-end for stats that collects data from in-stadium and a multitude of other sources so are just waiting for UI's to get built out for the app. You'll probably see features rolled out a few per app release rather than in one big hit.

I'm also hoping some of the Next Gen Stats stuff makes in it this year if we can build out the frond-end support for Mobile (it's already in Xbox) as that stuff is cool. Not sure if you guys get the TV commercials we're running at the moment with Brees & Beast Mode for that, but it's good stuff. I think the AFL are going to be using our engine for that moving forward too, if what I've read in the press is correct.

Scores can be turned off but that doesn't mean the game you are watching won't flash up scores and highlights of other games during the coverage.

It is the same with the AFL on Fox always has the scores of the game being shown on another channel in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, annoying if you want to watch one on replay without knowing the score.

The NFL Network and other Premium video content will be made available on an upcoming release to the Apple TV app. I don't have an ETA but I'd hazard a guess of it being 2-3 weeks at this stage. It's in the pipeline.

Awesome, cheers for the update.

On the other query re: not being able to watch an in-progress game from the start, I believe this is a platform limitation for Apple TV IIRC. I know at least one of our platforms doesn't support this capability. I'll double check on that with my product guy working on that product though.

Ah that sucks, will make sure to airplay next time to watch from the start.

Thanks for all your info on this appreciate it, much easier than going through customer service!

Also the AppleTV app has been awesome, so much easier the only problem now is I need to buy another AppleTV for the bedroom! Tell your colleagues we appreciate all their work on getting this up and bug free for the start of the season.

Will do just that - I know they appreciate the feedback.

Does anyone know how quickly games are uploaded to gamepass after they've finished ? I assume the 3am games finish around 6am so therefore the should replays should be up around 6:30am ?

The games are live so you can start watching them whenever you want. If you mean the condensed version, then they are usually put up later in the afternoon

Anyone know the answer ? Don't wont to get up any earlier then I have to tomorrow haha

It depends on the game slot and who the TV broadcaster is as there are different rights here.

In general, it's an hour after the game has completed (full games - condensed games can take a little longer). It can be a little later if there's a Monday night double header or other "special" game.

The above are the US rules so I'm assuming this applies for International post-game states.

*sigh*

You win this year NFL.

I don't want to be one of those people who jumps off the entire sport when my team is rubbish. My brother tends to do that with all sports, and I heap a lot of shit on him for it.

So with that said, I'm going to have to get Game Pass so I have the option to watch all the matches, and to watch teams that play entertaining schemes (and to see the interesting "football narratives") that don't involve my team. I realised that tonight when I'd gotten over the Eagles loss... but would loved the opportunity to watch the condensed versions of some of the upsets today.

Having waited out the pre season (not that I would've watched much having just moved to Melbourne); having missed the first 2 weeks...

I'll be starting the 7 day trial this weekend. So I have about 13 days for a code to appear. I'm not confident.

Eat shit NFL, you greedy bastards. I'm still disgusted by a +20% pay rise in the space of a year.

Thoroughly impressed with gamepass. Cannot fault it so far

Great to hear.

We had a huge weekend for Week 2. Staggering numbers in fact, on both TV and digital platforms but we can definitely improve in a number of areas. GamePass still has some revisions and additional functionality to come over the next few weeks.

We'll be live on Roku TV next week and then PS4 in a few weeks (Dev on our end is almost done).

Seems you have an inside connection, so I'll ask/mention this; On PC, for two weeks in a row I've been utterly incapable of getting the Coaches Film (all 22) to work. It just sits at a blank black loading screen and never plays. Every other facet of Gamepass works flawlessly though.

Because I cover the Redskins, the all 22 is pretty crucial to me. Any word on this issue?

Hi everyone,
I Recently purchased a GamePass Subscription and app on my iPhone and iPad and love watching the condensed games. I was wondering if I can watch shows like undrafted and Americas game on my iPad because I can't find them ATM, I've already finished hard knocks and more shows to help fill my fix of NFL.
Do I need to purchase another app or other in GamePass bundles etc.,?
Cheers.
