The last placed club could 100% have a case to not be relegated for next season.

They went into the season under the premise of it being an 18 game, 9 home, 9 away season.

If this isn't met, they will have grounds to not be relegated. Whether they pursue it or not is up to them.

No they entered the season knowing games wouldn’t be rescheduled if called off due to covid...

Got nothing to do with that. What constitutes a season? If we dont get back is there still relegation?

Other leagues have rescheduled their games too. Its all very grey and i wouldn't be surprised at all if they say no relegation.

There will be relegation, we have played enough to know which teams belong down there.

Other leagues have but now what? They can’t catch them up again.

NFNL for better or for worse said it is what it is and for better or for worse will just continue on when they get the chance.

Apparently the Eastern FL may do away with finals if it drags on and award the team who finishes on top the Premiership.

Do suspended players have these wiped out rounds count toward their suspension weeks? If not there may be some very disappointed players!!
Nope they don't. Bundoora had a player get 3 weeks during the last lockdown and the 2 games they missed didn't count. So can't see why the rules would change now

Lol, as if suspensions would count down with games not played. 14 weeks last year, no worries... wouldn’t have missed a game

I'm talking about the lockodown we had in about about round 8 this year buddy. Not sure what's funny? Glad your amused though

FWIW the Picola DFL have moved their grand final back to AFL grand final weekend, most likely the Friday public holiday. We will finish the season. This lockdown won’t go forever.

You cant just pick a point in the season and say "Yep, we have seen enough, your going down".

Using Northcote as the example, they havent had the chance to play statistically the second worst team at all this season. We will never know if they were better than Whittlesea in season 2021.

Id imagine the league will be on the front foot with clubs reaffirming their position on this throughout this week

It was stated to all clubs games wouldn’t be rescheduled.

Either way we will be out of lockdown and hopefully play 4 more games before finals.
