Sounds good in theory to not allow VFL players. But it will just turn them away to other competitions. The standard will drop away. But players who deserve a game and done all the hard yards during the season will now get one.

That's fine, you aren't competing against other competitions & really, who cares if players with minimal connection to the comp head elsewhere.

Well not really… out of 18 games if a VFL plays 3 the 15 others will be the regular standard.

My guess is plenty of clubs will place their recruiting focus elsewhere

I'm guessing things will start to streamline just before Christmas when they start looking at appointing a media manager now that they have a CEO.

I would expect clearances + a fixture next month if they get someone fair dinkum
