After playing the "big 3" twice now, I'm leaning towards throwing a blanket over them all. The side Diamo put out against us in Round 3 was probably the best of all the 6 games, but no idea if they can all be on the park again together. If they can, they'd be favourites for me, but if not then it's very close.

Macleod have the trump card in Barden. He's kicked three times as many goals as anyone from WHit or DC. That's a huge advantage and their play does go a lot through him. The other two teams are more even across the whole ground though.

At this stage I'm saying Whit and DC play off, but a bit can change between now and then.

Women's finals confirmed at La Trobe, with the grand final at Eltham. Might be a sign of things to come for Div2 and Div3 for the men's sides.

The Uni? While the surface is immaculate, the ground itself is too big for woman's footy. Some senior men's team struggle on the ground. Pray the wind doesn't pick up as it will be a disaster.

On a seperate, yet connected note - The Uni should get the ground behind the new rooms up, they could make a killing hosting junior/senior finals running things side by side.

I didn't say anything about the quality of the game, I just said where they're gonna play the women's finals.

Knowing the size of the ground + the impact of both grounds being a wind tunnel, the games will most likely emulate Soccer-esque score lines. Goals are at a premium haha

Agree with other comments, main ground is huge, open and very soulless - won't be a good spectacle for women's finals. GF at Eltham is spot on.

26 minute mark. Macleod played elected to bump a player coming back with flight. Knocked him out. Umpire was very close and called “play on”. Umpire would be upset they missed it, but if he thought the Macleod player was contesting the mark, I agree with the play on call. Video was clear, not a genuine attempt to mark. 6 seems to be a little harsh.

Looks to me Macleod player went to mark it. See the photo with 2 arms stretched out.
Should have got Cripps advocate. 6 is insanely harsh for that.

Maybe he should change is name to Cumberland and punch blokes in the back of the head off the ball instead, that’s only 2 weeks

We all know how crook this league is right now but I don’t know how to make a case he tried to mark it off that vision. Late, braced for contact, collected player high, knocked him out cold, no duty of care.

6 may be harsh but I’m unsure how it would be possibly reduced due to severity of the impact.

I don’t know who the Macleod player is but I assume he is a good lad and as a result someone will make a case his sentence should be reduced. Lol

imo players who go with the ball flight are constantly putting themself in harms way and basically giving no option to the defender than to recieve contact.

He s late to the contest and has decided to protect himself rather than legitimate attempt to spoil, i mean the ball still goes forward

Incidental contact in that situation is and always has been fine, that's why its brave to go back with the flight, but this macloed player has got it wrong and has basicaly right angled a guy in a pretty vulnerable position

Watsy would need to win 2 of the last 4 to go part thomo. They might night be happy with their season but they are still pretty safe.
