Apparently there were a number of tazings in the changerooms after it became clear they would be relegated from Div 1. Some players didn't appreciate it.

Absolute shambles the way the bogan committee handled Hall’s departure (sacking). Anything but a mutual agreement hence the fallout from players. Appalling I guess

Is it unreasonable to move
On a coach after 9 seasons? He has done a fantastic job absolutely no doubt but sooner or later that’s it.

I thought I'd read a few weeks back he was going again but things must have changed . Things must have been in place to announce Friday he's stepping away and then Sunday announce new coach

My info is that he had no idea they were interviewing other people. He was under the impression they had to advertise under the constitution and when told he would need to re-apply he refused.

Not surprised Matty Penn impressed them, top shelf human being.

Agree, but unfortunately new coach may have been sold a cow! Executive have once again burnt/eaten their own. Damage to the extend, some are already spruiking a rebuild!!
What confidence would a coach have of this not happening again?
Serious issues going forward from these dishonourable behaviours.

How open is D2.

The way i see it.

South have lost quite a lot so wont be a cakewalk i once thought
Macleod probably go backwards with aging stars
Whittlesea have lost a couple but will still be around the Mark
Lower picked up a couple of handy players and will see improvement from the young list
St Marys could be their time to pounce

Could we see a St Marys rise in GF calculations

Have the most successful period in the clubs history and you look to replace a bloke behind his back showing him none of the respect he has earnt.
The question is why would you do it that way ???.
There must be other criteria they have based this on ?
It doesn't bode well for club unity

Maybe it was the right time for a coach at the helm, but it sounds like they have gone about it in ordinary fashion.

Looked like a club that would yoyo back up, can't see it happening next year though.

St Mary’s seem quite happy to punch within their weight limit playing their locals which I have no issue with.

Max dreher and have already got butterworth - both have plenty of div 1 experience. Div 2 looks as though it will be anyone’s with south having split factions and Whittlesea losing some talent
