By rich club do you mean Ivanhoe? Other Vafa clubs found a way, maybe you just needed to build a private school next to your oval.

Its swings and roundabouts most clubs get their momemt in the sun. If a 17 year old who has played 52 games at Ivanhoe plays the next 10 years and 150 games at Banyule, i would consider them a Banyule player not an Ivanhoe player as most people would. Enjoy your moment but the rule needs adjusting.

I know the club fully intends sticking to its long held policy of making all new recruits to the club spend at least a month in the twos so we could be playing catch up.

They will go well but they are not superstars

We already know.. hoes have flag wrapped up… Fitz from Laurimar played 2s at Monty and played in 2s GF in 24…beaten by bergs.. couldn’t get game at Monty seniors..came to Div 3 and kicked nearly a ton! If all fit, only a bad windy quarter at Thomo (of GF venue) will stop the hoes triumph…

I tend to agree that not ALL players just come down and dominate. There are a lot of factors that contribute to that - position, club, coach, etc.

That said, they have come from a club that has dominated for years and is arguably the best metropolitan league team/club in Victoria. So at the very least, the upside beyond 2026, is they are young and have a lot of football improvement in them still you would imagine. Very, very happy to have them on board and improving our total list.
