yes I know maxy but they are div 5 team and West div 3. West shouldve won the game on their own deck

Did you have a hit out out today
The recruits they picked up from us are easily Prem A/B standard footballers, that would easily play Div 1 NFNL.

Games scrappy, ground was hard and in poor condition with no centre wicket covers (dangerous)

We have games over the next 2 weeks, then start on the 18th. Still along way to go.

Ground in very average condition. Definitely needs to be redone as the other grounds in the area had been done.
I'm pretty sure Heidelberg and Banyule both had to chip in towards council grants somewhat for the surface redos, West may not be in a financial position to do so.

But woweee 3 grounds in Beverley Road to be carpet would be magical.

Had a look at the second half of West vs Bulleen. West really struggled and couldn’t score, they were 2 goals halfway through the last in absolutely perfect conditions and got a couple of goals at the end with the scores at around 5 goals a piece. Apparently we’re missing half a dozen…

Their VFL recruit has moved to SANFL and will be playing for Glenelg which is a massive loss someone mentioned to me.

Power under 22s had an impressive win against Doncaster.
Doncaster didn’t have a team last year at all.. and they are in Division 3 this year, which is the equivalent of Division 4 in EDFL as they have a Premier Divison.. great effort to the team/club up but other then a run, not sure Power will get much out of it...

It is actually Division 5 as they have Premier, Div 1,2,3 and 4.
Probably more disappointing would be West losing to Bulleen Templestowe who are also in Division 5
Former VAFA team who went to EFL last season and finished 6th or 7th

confused how anything can be taken from any of these practices games aside from teams having a run and trying a few things 😂 lots of experts already
Just the same banter we see from AFL praccy matches, Carlton were going to go alright after them.

Managed to watch the second half of the reserves and first half of the seniors for Lalor V Sunbury.
Bloods reserves look better than I expected, have been hearing a lot about struggling to put a team out at all so to see them challenge Sunbury at times was good, even if they have a way to go.
What I saw of the seniors was also better, (heard it took a turn for the worse after half time)
Rexhepi spent a lot of time in the back half but didn't look out of place, no1 ruck wasn't playing as well as a few other notable players missing, Bloods will be able to take a bit out of it and can hopefully build up to a couple of wins for the year 🤞🤞 but I still fear it will be a long year for them.
