Well that way they can manipulate the match ratio and seeing as they have hidden % all year they can set up the ladders to suit. All above board of course

Why go to the effort of advertising for a new person to run the Rep Program, full time gig apparently, with some applicants being denied the ability to apply due to having there own outside football development programs.
Which I agree with.
Yet I have it from sources that the same person who’s been running and rorting it for 5 years has the job again.
This bloke who most agree not only has no idea about the game, has his own external football development program he owns and runs.
NFNL love to talk about integrity, what a joke.
This guy uses his business partners as specialist coaches and his company takes those NFNL $.

Have heard this seasons NFNL under 17’s could be down to only 9 teams with teams going under due to boys leaving clubs to be part of stronger teams. 9 teams most likely means a very one sided competition which will cause more kids and possibly teams to drop off as the season goes on. NFNL Junior comp Is really struggling with even Div 1 senior clubs like Greensborough and West Preston not fielding 17’s this year. Are Yarrambat still looking at going to YJFL next year?

9 teams is better than 5
u16 and 15 boys last year had 5 in Div 1 last year. 3 divisions which is ridiculous. the top divisions in the comp only having 5 teams is a disgrace.
NFNL just pandering to Clubs worried about finishing on or near the bottom so they make 3 divisions so Clubs can win a flag, but someone still finishes on the bottom in each division dont they???

u17's always thins out and im glad my kid can at least play a few different teams not the same ones every 3 weeks then a bye.

Its not like there is much for clubs and parents to arrange.

Under 17s looking very thin with 9 sides 1 being wallan. Yes a few sides are in the Yarra league but overall not great.

I’m showing my age but I remember the Lew hall trophy days. Not saying that’s the answer, but jeez we had years when our other grades were guns and we would get pumped!!!!!!
grading basketball or football is always tough but can’t make everyone happy so just pull the trigger.. can’t have 7 weeks, half the season being grading games.

It’s logical really.

A 2024 Div 2 premier, grades in Div 1 and gets spanked, so they put them in Div 3 where they win by 20 goals.

Nope

Do it like YJFL
Rolling 4 weeks grading.
Then 10 round H&A season into finals.
Aim for 6 team divisions where possible, allows for everyone to play each other twice.
Get rid of the match ratio.
B&F votes only tallied through the 10 rounds.

Everything is fair and equal.

Hearing the draft fixture for the next 2 weeks of games will have some teams having played up to 6 games at home (out of 8) and other obviously 6 away.
Another way the league gets parents offside. Surely can’t play more than 2 in a row away or at home. Other leagues manage it, why can’t NFNL.

Is grading that hard? When I played from under 10s to 17s the good and bad teams were basically the same year after year?
