Ben Cousins was father son through the WAFL rules as they were set up for West Coast. Prelisted before the draft back then

I thought he was f/s eligible for Geelong but declined it to stay in Perth

Nope, F/S for West Coast through his father Bryan Cousins playing 238 games for Perth.
Just looked it up on wiki

He was f/s eligible for West Coast and Geelong and also available to Freo for their entry concessions

WOW

As a kid I can remember "Big" Jim Michaelanney playing for Norwood back in the early 80s and I am pretty sure he was around a long while before that too.

Surely he would be in the his mid to late 60s now.

I'm guessing that Max must have been a mid life crisis baby.
Max not his youngest either

I hope this helps the cause ...... SANFL PLAYER LIFE MEMBERS

It states: A player who has played football for the League Team of a League Club or League Clubs in not less than ten seasons and have participated in a minimum number of 200 League matches.

Jim Michalanney (1986). Jim played for Norwood from 1974-86 for 211 games.

Although this gives cause for concern re Borlaise:
Port and the SANFL listed Darryl on 201 games after the 1996 state league grand final but that included Escort Cup clashes, which the AFL did not count towards his total – 167 matches.
Port challenged the AFL ruling on Darryl’s games count before and until 2018. That year, Power football manager Chris Davies called Darryl a club great and said Port was disappointed James did not qualify as a father-son selection.

Highly rated defender Max Michaelanny also earned selection in the squad and could join Adelaide under father-son ruling given his father, Jim, played over 200 SANFL games for Norwood in the 20 years immediately before the Crows' AFL inception.

No pressure Max. We get a father son prospect who actually looks good through the SANFL rule by chance.. let's hope this is the first of many.

how does F/S work if we have say pick 10 and someone lower bids on him. Do we use that pick 10 to counter or can we use an accumulation of lower points instead.

You have to use your next pick.

If that happened, you either trade down (or you already have).

Its points based so if they bid on him before pick 10 and we match we lose our next lot of picks that match the points required then move to the backend of the draft

Is he a confirmed father/son for us or we still not sure? When will they officially announce all of them?
