From the sounds of it the only way Watts will nominate is if he knows Melbourne are going to pick him up.

Man i was so concrete on Hartlett the last few months... But i watch this kid and i dont know... Plus all his coaches and anyone who has played with him are saying he is learning new ways to play everyday and he still has a lot of strings to add to his bow...
TO be honest we may be lucky in the fact that the club probably cant stuff up who we pick with our first one...
Hartlett/Rich/Nat/Ziebell etc.
They will probably all annihilate the opposition.
Question is do we risk becoming "those morons who passed over nat"
Just like richmond with tambling over buddy... Which by the way seems to slip under the medias radar in terms of worst recruiting blunders...

Hope you are right, good big men are alot tougher to find. I hope we take him, we stuffed up this year not taking Palmer, so lets hope they go after Natunui this year. Rich is good but you can always get a decent midfielder later in the draft.

I dont even see why everyone is getting so worked up about Warnock. Sure he has the potential with his physical attributes to be a good ruckman but its funny i have never seen him play that well for all this hype to surround a player, you would think its Judd the way people are acting.
Very rarely would a number 1 pick just come home, i think its very over rated oh they miss home, its a football club, they make friends, niknat has a best friend already at the club in cale morton.
I dont know who we will pick but i want us to pick Niknat for sure, just something special about him

For a first year player, and for his size, his performances last year were simply outstanding.
But you know... continue to not watch us. We don't particularly care.

I agree. Those qualities are the most important in football.
I've been going from hot to cold on Naitanui for the last month or so. At the moment I am red hot on the get Naitanui bandwagon.
He just brings so much to the game, pace, confidence, insane clearance skills, bone jarring tackles.
Imaging a bulked up Nick with a few pre seasons behind him chasing down and hammering opposition midfielders.
The kid doesn't seem phased by anything, going up against people bigger and older than him. I think he'd go up against Cox or Sandilands and not just think maybe he could win but genuinely believe he would win.

It also appears that he didn't watch the game against Essendon this year when Warnock effectively played ruck rover in the last quarter and was absolutely dominant, especially at the clearances.
Just remembering his performance in that game sends shivers up my spine. He has the potential to become a monster in this competition.

I just have big question marks about a list containing Sandilands, Warnock and Natanui. If Warnock is staying then bet Hartlett imo. My prefered way for the cards to fall is Warnock trade for high draft pick, Natanui at pick 3, another mid at pick 10-20 (for Warnock).

mate im not trying to be smart or anything so dont worry. I obviously have not seen him as much as you guys so i apoligise for that.
Even if we did get Robbie, i would be happy if he was the ruckman and NikNat was molded into that forward prospect our team is craving.
Bring on the draft camp already hey!!!
Either way, there is going to be a fair bit of buyer's remorse...
