We've still got three years to wait before we can draft him, so not until 2022 (at the earliest) will we see him playing for us. If he continues to develop as expected that's going to seem like an awfully long wait!

Heath Shaw wasn't bad.Father Son
At least we have that.
As an aside who is the last gun player as a son we have had from father Son?
Travis Cloke is the obvious.
We are awaiting the Moore era but it is yet to materialise.
Yes Heath Shaw.Heath Shaw wasn't bad.
With Ned Guy onboard we seem to be much more adept at manipulating the draft to our advantage. So I wouldn't be surprised if we did some horse trading pre-draft should young Nick prove worthy of first round bids. Just as we did this year ala Beams/Quaynor.
We used pick 6 last year and pick 13 this year. We’re free to trade a future first in 2019 if we want to.We will not be able to trade anymore first round p9cks for a while.

So we need to trade out our 1st Round pick for 2021.ND turns 16 next year. Saw him play in the Kew Derby and kicked the winning goal from the boundary on the wrong side for a right footer. He will be top 5 in his draft.

But you were able to SEE him do it; rookie chance at best.ND turns 16 next year. Saw him play in the Kew Derby and kicked the winning goal from the boundary on the wrong side for a right footer. He will be top 5 in his draft.
If he’s worth a first rounder in 2021 of course...So we need to trade out our 1st Round pick for 2021.
Trade in a mid 2nd Round pick.
Then we bundle 2 x 2nd Round picks with a 3rd & 4th Round...generating a rough points to match a bid for pick 5.
We have already traded out our 1st Round for 2019...hence we MUST keep our 2020 1st Round pick, to ensure we have the flexibility in 2021.
Edit: we also need to order in more coffee for Ned Guy...to keep him going for the next few years

Hopefully the Buckley boys grow to kpp height, because I really cant see them squeezing out any of the Daicos, Brown or - I think its 5, Quaynor boys. Thank god Murphy is now a ruckman, otherwise we'd end up with a really unbalanced list. Then the wait for a Buckley
Sure is.Any footage out there available of young Nick?
Yes, that's precisely what I meant (but I can see how that may have been misinterpreted)!! When I said "not until 2022 (at the earliest) will we see him playing for us" I did mean (even if he debuts in his first season) that 2022 would be the earliest we can see him in a match. He is indeed draft eligible at the end of 2021, so we are likely to have him on our books by the end of that year!2021 draft eligible iirc. 2022 should be his first season in AFL.
Maybe get Jake Kelly via trade next year.Imagine a side with all of them in one game
