Opinion Nick Dal Santo?

That name brings back some memories of childhood posters around 1986-ish - he was backup for Wes Fellowes wasn't he?

Don;t know if he ever played a senior game last I heard he was playing at Woorineen around 1987-87

About to turn 33 but durable as and a great kick. Can he play half back? He wouldn't be there for the next tilt though so would take development away from youngsters. I guess that's a no.

I'd only want Harvey from the four players north sacked. Dal Santo would've been good 3 years ago for us but he's not a good fit for our club right now.

I'm torn on this one.
The thought of him playing midfield and allowing Pendles to play forward a bit more has some appeal.
He would certainly add some experience in there.
His lack of pace, (and age) bothers me though.
Daniel Wells as a UFA might be better

Could see him suiting up for one year with a team in the premiership window, i.e. not us.
We can concentrate on developing our own rather than perusing the football equivalent of the Reject Shop.

He's durable and his numbers are good this year! I'd offer him one year for maybe 200k... even if he plays only 6 games and is an emergency most of the time he brings qualities to the squad and is excellent insurance if we lose a key midfielder in the way that we lost swanny this year. Certainly an upgrade on mccaffer, who was given the extra year and made part of the leadership group despite his inadequacies.

And with the retirements of swan, toovey and mccaffer, delistings and possible exodus of others... there is plenty of room on the list for an older player or two like Harvey and del santo

It's better than having someone like Maynard do it, try to play on and slip on his arse... kick outs should be taken more seriously... it is the beginning of 15-20 forward thrusts per game... the difference between a poor kick out and a good kick out is enormous....

Harvey would be a great fit for us. Gas two seasons in him and would educate the youth in our side
