Nick Davis has a stack of talent, he is one of the best kicks in the game and has a good set of hands of him but he has the serious problem of being rather lazy and as a result for large amounts of the game. You can count of Nick Davis to have 4 brilliant games a year but for the other games you can expect 1 or maybe 2 goals a game and not much else. As for your other question Nick Davis will be in the Swans team for years to come as within the next few years both Michael O'Loughlin and Barry Hall will be gone and our forward line will be incredibly weak.

davis suffers from his own reputation, even among teammates....there are times, as was the case on saturday night, where he did a lot of work off the ball but was, again, ignored on leads or when in better positions than the blokes who get the ball
he looks fitter than i can remember, and hopefully, finally, he will play to potential with more consistency

good to see his lost a bit of weight and can move a lot better .... as everyone knows he has A LOT of talent and is a proven match winner ... mabye this season however he can be a consistent performer, had a good game on Sat night .. if he does that every week with 2 or 3 goals in his back pocket he'll have a great season ... JUST DONT GET FAT AGAIN!!

He didn't seem injured or slightly injured at all in last weeks game. I mean, Ablett looks buggered all night last week.. very surprised.

Davis needs to stop trying to win games at the last minute, and learn how to scrap like Bevo and Jude:rolleyes:

Seriously, he may be inconsistent but he can win a match at any second! He's a MUST for Sydney, so I can only assume that he's a little injured. On the other hand, I'm looking forward to seeing Barlow!

This really sucks. I'm going to the game on Sunday and my favourite player just got dropped .

He usually plays pretty well against Port and at the SCG as well.

I'm really hoping its only a niggly injury and not his form issues again, because if it is, as much as you're my favourite - get your act together, Nick.

There really is no excuse for dropping Davis if he is healthy. Yes, we all want more from him but he was a long way from the worst last week. Kicked a great goal from outside 50 which I doubt any other player on the roster could kick. I'm not happy.

"If Nick Davis is not injured then one has to wonder if the real Swans game plan is to play negative footy and not kick goals. Do they deliberately set out to win games by starving the opposition and boring spectators to death?" A. Demetriou AFL

Surely that's not a real quote!

Andrew Ireland said in the small paper that davis was dropped for team balance.Dr.Nathan Gibbs said he was not injured.
Team balance for me would be to get rid of the footy butchers in bevan and mchack.

I am a bit of a Nick Davis "doubter" and with out knowing the person or the inner goings of the club, I would of considered him for trading at the end of last year.

I would like to see him play with the consistancy of Ryan Okeefe and do his share of the "hit up leading forward" work like Ryan, which would allow BBBBH to play closer to goal.

However I thought at times last week that he looked okay and whilst he was not brilliant he certainly IMO was not in our worst 2 or 3.

Question could be what to do with Micky O

It seems strange, Davis one who effectively lead up the ground last week and though he only kicked the one goal the two shots he had in the last term were forced on him by people not leading and last quarter first round those were long kicks. He is not the guy I would have dropped.
