Wheres oldman pop? This is a scoop for him..

Dumb, dumb, dumb.. I cant believe it..
Seriously why would you drop him ahead of Bevan?
Anyway he and Grundy were ignored alot last week at the game, i was there he looked in good shape..
Its a problem of our mids kicking to Hall even when hes out numbered and out of form..
Kick it to our other fwds.. Remember rnd 22 2007..
Im over saying the same things..

Davis needs to stop trying to win games at the last minute, and learn how to scrap like Bevo and Jude:rolleyes:

Seriously, he may be inconsistent but he can win a match at any second! He's a MUST for Sydney, so I can only assume that he's a little injured. On the other hand, I'm looking forward to seeing Barlow!
My ghast is flabbered

Davis is one the best kicks in the game and when he's on fire can pull out rabbits all game. Most naturally gifted player in the side along with Goodes and Magic (maybe not Magic now, but in his prime).

He just has an attitude problem and is NOT the best player of the last 20 years. The problem is he thinks he IS the best player of the last 20 years. Basically, he bludges and when he decides he wants to play the team obviously aren't interested in playing with him.

I think it should be

What, is Roos thinking?
Sorry, thanks for clearing that up, my post was so incomprehendible to read prior to that insight....

EDIT: Sorry deadly, I'm just so damn frustrated about some of our decisions over the past few months.

Mate, I think you missed my subtle sarcasm. It was a shot at Roos, not you.

What? Was Roos thinking? Get it:D

Did anyone else think Davis looked a bit tubby last week?

Still don't think he should be dropped though, with Bevan still in the team.
Haha. I didn't though, i thought he looked okay weight wise.

I'm confused as to why he was been dropped. I know he played poorly, but he is a forward and our forward line does look like it's in a little trouble right now.

I guess all we can do is hope that Roos gets whatever he wanted to get from dropping Davis.

But what does he want? Barlow at CHF?

I meant more what he wants from Davis. Like does he want to give Davis a wakeup call that he needs to work harder to get the ball, etc? Hopefully it will give Davis that wakeup call but i can't see it happening for that long. Davis will always go back into his old habits.

Doesn't help us this week though, he could've done it in round 13 :p

Dropping Davis will not help us kick goals, something we dont tend to do a lot of.

Sililar trading the Schneiderman was not going to help us score. Schneider was really very good for the Sainters last night - killed me watching him run through the big congrats on 100 banner in saints colours. Played well in the midfield, covered heaps of ground, got their scoring going with a great snap from an angle under pressure and hit players up well. WHAT have we got in return for getting rid of a player aged 23 with all that going for him?????????????????????????????

I disagree with dropping davis but i agree with trading scneider.

Scneider fits into the saints team better than he did at the swans.

Roos admitted during his post-match press conference that Davis was dropped for not applying enough pressure when the ball is turned over in our forward 50. Hence Bevan played up forward. He actually said "I dont care how many goals he kicks as long as applies pressure". I dont really get this, and I dont think Davis gets as much latitude as say Hall, who can often be seen remonstrating with an umpire instead of chasing his man, or O'loughlin. That said, it may turn out to be a timely kick up the bum for Nick and we certainly didn't need him out there today. We would all like to see him work as hard as Ryan O'keefe.

I think that's unfair on O'Loughlin, in particular. His work rate at ground level is phenomenal, whether he's trying to gather the ball or putting pressure on the opposition.

Your right Liz. Its probably unfair to Roos and Barry as well. Davis doesn't work as hard as he should. If he did he would be the best small forward in the game - up with Brad Johnson.
